I’m kind of loving it of late, so just wondered what everyone thinks of [name]Shiloh[/name] on a boy?
I’m into the softer sounding boy’s names; [name]Asher[/name] and [name]Micah[/name] are just examples of this, as well as names that are considered unisex yet are wholly masculine; [name]Avery[/name], [name]Aubrey[/name], [name]Harper[/name], [name]Addison[/name], [name]Peyton[/name], [name]Riley[/name], [name]Morgan[/name] etc. I’m not really worried about a names use on girls because here in the UK it isn’t much of a problem.
I think the nickname of Shi (prn. Shy) sounds quite handsome, and I think it fits perfectly with my other favourite boy’s names.
I think it works just as well on a boy as a girl, and it’s nice with [name]Asher[/name] and [name]Micah[/name]. Most people will associate it with little miss [name]Jolie[/name]-[name]Pitt[/name], but who cares?
AND it means tranquil, that’s just lovely I think.
I absolutely adore this on a boy and hate it on a girl (It sounds like [name]Milo[/name], [name]Hugo[/name]…) i know one male [name]Shiloh[/name] – [name]Shiloh[/name] Larken.
I think it’s very handsome and Shi is a cute nickname.
I much prefer it on a girl. Whatever flak I might get for saying this, it is too “soft” and feminine sounding on a boy to me. [name]Just[/name] my preferences.
I hate that in the US the name [name]Shiloh[/name] is pretty much automatically connected to Brangelina, and to a girl no less. But since you’re in the UK i don’t think it’s as big a connection as it is here so that’s a plus! haha
I absolutely adore the name [name]Shiloh[/name] for a boy. It’s still all boy to me. If you love it, definately use it i feel the same about a few of those names on your list, [name]Avery[/name] and [name]Addison[/name] in particular. All boy to me but so popular with the girls they’ve almost become unusable for a little guy
I like [name]Shiloh[/name] for either gender. I think it’s really lovely for a boy. It’s so similar to [name]Milo[/name], which seems to be trending upward, and there’s also the actor [name]Shiloh[/name] Fernandez who is male, so I think it shouldn’t really be hard for people to accept it as a boy’s name despite how well-known [name]Shiloh[/name] [name]Jolie[/name]-[name]Pitt[/name] is.
I love [name]Shiloh[/name]! I’m so happy you’re considering it for a boy–it’s been a long favorite of mine. I read a series of books while in high school about a duo just after the American Civil War–a female doctor named [name]Cheney[/name], and her nurse/assistant, a guy named [name]Shiloh[/name]. I loved that series, and I think [name]Shiloh[/name] is just so handsome. It’s way too celeb-focused now, so I don’t think I’d use it, but I love that you’re considering it. And I love the nn Shy/Shi!
I’ve loved [name]Shiloh[/name] since I was little. It’s a place name so it’s totally unisex.
[name]Don[/name]'t see how [name]Shiloh[/name] has “gone to the girls”. [name]Little[/name] [name]Jolie[/name]-[name]Pitt[/name] didn’t make the name popular. I have yet to meet a [name]Shiloh[/name] of any gender
