I have two sons, [name_m]Enzo[/name_m] and [name_u]Asa[/name_u]. I’m currently pregnant with baby #3. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t know if it’s a boy or girl yet!
If it’s a boy, I feel like we should keep with our accidental theme of short names that start with vowels & are somewhat vowel heavy. I’d love a name that starts with I or O… But I’m totally stuck! Any ideas???
I like [name_m]Ian[/name_m] but I’m a teacher & it’s a tad too popular for me. I like [name_m]Ike[/name_m] but my best friend just had a baby [name_m]Ike[/name_m]! [name_m]Otto[/name_m] feels too close to [name_m]Enzo[/name_m] for me… No? [name_m]How[/name_m] do you pronounce Ilek?
I love a lot of those girls names! I was thinking [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] would be cute and I like [name_f]Ione[/name_f] but not sure others would know how to pronounce it (I run into that with [name_u]Asa[/name_u] and it bothers me slightly). I actually really like how [name_f]Iris[/name_f] sounds with the set!
I’d love to hear some A & E ideas, if you have them! Thanks!
I really like [name_m]Enzo[/name_m], [name_u]Asa[/name_u], and [name_m]Iver[/name_m] or [name_m]Enzo[/name_m], [name_u]Asa[/name_u], and [name_m]Olin[/name_m] together because it continues the theme, but the names have different enough sounds. [name_m]Iver[/name_m] would be my favorite!

With [name_m]Enzo[/name_m] and [name_u]Asa[/name_u], I love the suggestions of [name_m]Omri[/name_m] and [name_f]Orla[/name_f]. However, I don’t feel that you have instituted a pattern yet. You could easily get away with any unusual two-syllable name. Other suggestions {sorry for repeats!}:
With [name_m]Enzo[/name_m] and [name_u]Asa[/name_u], I immediately thought of [name_m]Ivan[/name_m].
I think that any name that sounds too Irish/Scottish/English like [name_u]Owen[/name_u], [name_m]Oren[/name_m], or [name_m]Ian[/name_m] doesn’t fit with the style of [name_m]Enzo[/name_m] and [name_u]Asa[/name_u]. [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] is quite an international name.
It doesn’t start with a vowel, but I like the idea of using [name_u]Luca[/name_u] with [name_m]Enzo[/name_m] and [name_u]Asa[/name_u]. It’s still short and vowel heavy.
Thank you, all! I love a lot of these! I like [name_m]Iver[/name_m], but I’m worried it’ll look like we’re trying too hard? I also like [name_m]Omri[/name_m] but not sure I can convince the hubby. I’ve often thought of [name_m]Ivan[/name_m], but I just can’t love it. I think [name_m]Eli[/name_m] sounds great with [name_m]Enzo[/name_m] and [name_u]Asa[/name_u], but it’s just too popular.
I agree - two does not a pattern make. You could definitely get away with a non-vowel beginning short name and people are likely not to notice.
