The title says it all! I’m brainstorming names for future siblings for my boys [name]Pax[/name] and [name]Milo[/name], and I’m looking for boys names that are short, simple, but pack a punch! Any suggestions?
So far I have:
[name]Jules[/name]/[name]Julian[/name]
[name]Reid[/name]
[name]Levi[/name]
[name]Finn[/name]
Middle names are completely up in the air, but a few that I’ve pulled down as possibilities are [name]August[/name] or [name]Augustus[/name], [name]Sebastian[/name], [name]Thaddeus[/name], [name]Gunnar[/name], [name]Elliott[/name], Sylvio or Sylvius, and [name]Silas[/name]. Combos and ideas much appreciated!
Great thread! [name]Pax[/name] is at the top of my list and [name]Milo[/name] is way up there, too. Short, simple and pack a punch is exactly how I’d describe what I’m looking for, too! Other names I’m considering or just really like:
[name]Taj[/name]
[name]Kai[/name]
[name]Sol[/name]
[name]Leo[/name]
[name]Noe[/name]–I met a little boy named this and it was pn NO-ee
[name]Kian[/name]
[name]Nico[/name]
[name]Fionn[/name]
[name]Felix[/name]
[name]Kofi[/name]
[name]Che[/name]
Kavi
[name]Isai[/name]–love this, but not a fan of the religious roots
[name]Jade[/name]–love this for a boy, but I think the girls’ side already owns it.
[name]Marco[/name]
[name]Rio[/name]
[name]Akira[/name]
[name]Talib[/name]–I know, [name]Talib[/name] Kwali owns it, but it’s an awesome name with a great meaning.
You’ve gotten some great suggestions so I won’t add any more. [name]Just[/name] wanted to say that I love [name]Finn[/name], [name]Julian[/name]/[name]Jules[/name], and [name]Thad[/name] with your boys’ names. I like your mn options except for [name]Gunnar[/name] (I guess it’s the [name]Gun[/name] part that rubs me the wrong way.) Some combos I like:
These suggestions are amazing, thank you all so much!
Here’s a list of names that I pulled from all your suggestions, followed by a few more I want to throw in that I found on my own - I’d love to hear your thoughts on them! Also huge thanks to hoodie for the combos!
Thoughts on these new ones?
[name]Ezri[/name] or [name]Ezra[/name]
[name]Soren[/name]
[name]Niels[/name]
[name]Brock[/name]
[name]Link[/name]
[name]Archer[/name]
[name]Brenner[/name]
[name]Fielder[/name]*
[name]Beckett[/name]*
this means the best gut reaction so far
I’m keeping [name]Thad[/name] in a special place near the top of the list since [name]Thaddeus[/name] (as I listed under the middle names section) is actually a family name that has been running through the middle spot across the generations, and it might be nice to pull it out into the front lines for a change! [name]Thad[/name] [name]Augustus[/name] is sounding awfully charming! Oh, and here’s another combo to consider: [name]Thaddeus[/name] [name]Nye[/name], nn [name]Thad[/name]!
Since there isn’t any pressure to narrow down any time soon, please keep chucking whatever short and simple, yet strong names you find at me! This can be a great thread for anyone searching for short & solid names to come browse through and hopefully get some ideas!
[name]Glad[/name] to help! I wanted to say how much I love your new combo, [name]Thaddeus[/name] [name]Nye[/name] nn [name]Thad[/name]. Occasionally I hear a name that has that little something special and just sounds ‘right’-- this is one of those! But of course, it’s how you feel about it that matters! [name]Thad[/name] [name]Augustus[/name] is also really nice, but now I’m preferring the idea of using the full name [name]Thaddeus[/name] plus a short middle name ([name]Nye[/name] is perfect.)
From your new list, I’m really liking [name]Quinn[/name], [name]Thane[/name], [name]Eames[/name], [name]Rhys[/name], [name]Ezri[/name] and [name]Ezra[/name], [name]Soren[/name], and [name]Niels[/name]. They all have great style and strength, and pack the punch you’re looking for. I think some names on the list like [name]Ace[/name], [name]Jett[/name], [name]Dash[/name], and others are a bit hash, and I worry they don’t have the same level of style and class as [name]Pax[/name] and [name]Milo[/name] and some of your other options. But you’ve got a great list going here!
