We love the name [name]Locke[/name]. Our last name is [name]Wilson[/name]. What do you think? Does it sound right? I like short strong names.
Any other short strong names that you can think of?
Any ideas for a middle name?

I’m not a fan of [name]Locke[/name], but that’s just my own personal preference.
I do think that [name]Locke[/name] [name]Wilson[/name] sounds good, so I say go for it!
[name]Hi[/name] there! This style is right up my alley My son is [name]West[/name], which happens to be a family name also, so it worked perfectly! Other ideas:
[name]Loch[/name]
[name]Rhett[/name]
[name]Rafe[/name]
[name]Boone[/name]
[name]Brody[/name]
[name]Jack[/name]

I agree with one of the previous posters: [name]Locke[/name] [name]Wilson[/name] has a great flow, and they both fit well together, but I don’t personally like [name]Locke[/name] on its own. You might like [name]Lachlan[/name]/[name]Lochlann[/name]?
Here are some more suggestions (sorry for repeats!)
[name]Brock[/name]
[name]Brooks[/name]
[name]Brett[/name]
[name]Bryce[/name]
[name]Cruz[/name]
[name]Finn[/name]
[name]Gage[/name] (I actually met a little boy named [name]Gage[/name] a few weeks ago- he was adorable! He was also really active and playful, so I think the name fit him)
[name]Jax[/name]
[name]Jett[/name] (I love [name]Jett[/name] [name]Wilson[/name]!)
[name]Jude[/name]
[name]Kai[/name]
[name]Luke[/name] (or maybe [name]Luca[/name], though this might be too feminine for you)
[name]Marco[/name]
[name]Max[/name]
[name]Miles[/name]
[name]Milo[/name]
[name]Pierce[/name]
[name]Reid[/name] (goes great with [name]Wilson[/name])
[name]Rhys[/name] (I actually think [name]Rhys[/name] and [name]Locke[/name] would make a fabulous sibset! And I also like [name]Rhys[/name] [name]Wilson[/name])
[name]Scott[/name]
[name]Hope[/name] this helps!
[name]Keelie[/name] [name]Cat[/name]
Great suggestions!
[name]Keely[/name] my husband’s name is actually [name]Marco[/name]!
I like [name]Jett[/name] and [name]Gage[/name]! What fun names!
Keep the suggestions coming. Any strong name…doesn’t just have to be short.
I’m glad you liked them And how cool is it that your husband’s name is [name]Marco[/name]. I love that name! I think a lot of parents shy away from it because of the “[name]Marco[/name] [name]Polo[/name]” association (the game, not the actual guy), but I think it is awesome. Maybe a little [name]Marco[/name] [name]Jr[/name]?
Oh, well, if it doesn’t have to be short, that opens up the playing field completely! Here’s another list of names that all strike me as strong based on both their meaning and their sound.
[name]Zander[/name] - “warrior”
[name]Duncan[/name] - “dark warrior”
[name]Donovan[/name] - “dark warrior”
[name]Ezra[/name] - “helper”
[name]Leo[/name] - “lion”
[name]Lorcan[/name] - “fierce”
[name]Max[/name] - “greatest”
[name]Niall[/name] - “champion”
[name]Wyatt[/name] - “littler warrior/guide”
[name]Ashur[/name] - “Assyrian warrior god”
[name]Dustin[/name] - “brave warrior”
[name]Gunther[/name] - “warrior/battler”
[name]Luther[/name] - “soldier of the people”
[name]Louis[/name] - “famous warrior”
[name]Everett[/name] - “brave/strong as a wild boar”
[name]Archibald[/name] - “genuine, bold, brave”, nn [name]Archie[/name]
[name]Basil[/name] - “brave”, nn [name]Baz[/name]
[name]Hardy[/name] - “bold/brave”, maybe Hardison as a full name
Personally, I think an awesome sibset would be [name]Lachlan[/name], [name]Jett[/name], and [name]Basil[/name]. [name]Lachlan[/name] would still give you the nn Lach/[name]Locke[/name], and I just love Lach, [name]Jett[/name], and [name]Baz[/name]. [name]Lachlan[/name] doesn’t work with [name]Wilson[/name] though, so you could combine [name]Lachlan[/name] with one of the names listed above to create a strong meaning. [name]Lachlan[/name] means “from the land of the fjords” (basically, Norway), so something like [name]Lachlan[/name] [name]Basil[/name] or [name]Lachlan[/name] [name]Niall[/name] (brave man from the fjords and champion of the fjords, respectively) would be cool.
You could also combine names that mean “warrior” with an adjective name to create strong meanings, ie. [name]Leo[/name] [name]Gunther[/name], Hardison [name]Louis[/name], or [name]Everett[/name] [name]Duncan[/name].
[name]Hope[/name] this helps, and let me know what you think!
[name]Keelie[/name] [name]Cat[/name]
I have a friend who is into short names here are ones she either used or made her list:
BTW [name]Locke[/name] was on her list! I love how [name]Locke[/name] [name]Wilson[/name] flows! What middle name do you have picked out?
