[name]Emma[/name] is the top name at the moment, as well as it makes me think of [name]Emily[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. Too many frills here. I would choose a different name.

I would say no. My initials were EW and I was always a little embarrassed, even though I’m sure I was the only one who noticed, but with [name]Emma[/name] W it will be more obvious because she will likely be [name]Emma[/name] W. in school because [name]Emma[/name] is so popular. [name]Just[/name] something to think about!

These are my initials- only with my married name- I was EEB. Yes, I know my initials are “eew” like yuck, but I’m over it. However, a little girl in school might be in trouble with those initials…

I would probably avoid it.

Why don’t you add a second middle name. You could name her [name]Emma[/name] _______ [name]Elizabeth[/name] W, so her initials would be E__EW, which wouldn’t be so bad. And it’s pretty rare for all your initials to be used at any given time, normally it would just be the first and last, and I don’t see a problem with EW.
My initials before I got married were ASR, which I always though was too close to ARS, but whenever I mentionned that to someone, they didn’t see it. So it was really just me ovethinking it.
If you really like the name, I don’t think that the initials should stop you from using it, unless it were to spell something much worse (like ASS).

My [name]Emma[/name]'s mn is [name]Kate[/name]. I like the suggestion above of [name]Emma[/name] ____ [name]Elizabeth[/name] so maybe you could do [name]Emma[/name] [name]Kate[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. That’s beautiful.

my initials were EW and the only thing that sucked was always being the last one called in class, but that’s a last name problem! :stuck_out_tongue:

otherwise, until this thread, i never noticed the EW and no one else did either.

I dont think it matters one bit. [name]Emma[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] sounds fine to me.

My nephews initials are DVS, like devious. No one has ever taken notice of it (besides me).
