Sib Set...Too "matchy"?

I never saw myself having babies with same lettered names, but the one name my DH and I agree on for a girl ([name_u]Perry[/name_u]) happens to start with P - the same letter of big brother ([name_m]Penn[/name_m]).

What are your thoughts on matching sibling names? And do [name_m]Penn[/name_m] and [name_u]Perry[/name_u] sound cute or too similar? Thanks for any thoughts

Aside from the Identical initials, I don’t find them too similar. In general, I dislike matching initials, but it’s nothing you should really worry about if you love both names. [name_m]Penn[/name_m] is cool!

They sound a little similar but not enough for me to think [name_u]Perry[/name_u] is a no-go with [name_m]Penn[/name_m]

I’m not a big fan of all the same letter but with only two children, it’s not as obnoxious as when there are 4+ children. That said, I do think [name_m]Penn[/name_m] and [name_u]Perry[/name_u] are too close.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] your choices! I don’t think they’re too similar but if you’re worried, [name_u]Perry[/name_u] could be short for

[name_f]Esperance[/name_f]
[name_u]Harper[/name_u]
[name_f]Opera[/name_f]
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_f]Perdita[/name_f]
[name_f]Petrea[/name_f]
[name_f]Petra[/name_f]
Peridot
Pearly
Persia
Vesper
Temperance

I never realised how many cool names have ‘per’ in them

Maybe you will also like Meredith (nn Merry) or Darcy?

I can also imagine Livia, Junia or Rose working with Penn.

Would love to hear what you decide on!

[name_u]Perry[/name_u] and [name_m]Penn[/name_m] are very sweet
