Sibling for Abigail and Isabel

[name]Hi[/name], I am pregnant with baby 3. We like surprises, so I need a boy and a girl name ready! We have two girls called [name]Abigail[/name], and Isabel There is a tradition of two middle names in my husband’s family, and we use the middle names to link with our family. I already like [name]Sylvia[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Jeanne[/name] if it is a girl (the middle names are my mother and mother-in-law’s middle names). But boys names are tricky! Middle names are decided - [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] ([name]William[/name] is my dad/Grandfather etc middle name, [name]Vernon[/name] is my husband/his grandfather’s name). So whatever we pick it will be a long name, but I don’t mind that. I wonder if a name ending with “l” will sound funny since both my girls’ names end with “l”. I like longer names that can have nicknames. I like more traditional names. So… any suggestions will be gratefully appreciated!

For boys:
[name]John[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] [name]Clements[/name]
[name]Andrew[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] [name]Clements[/name]
[name]Paul[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] [name]Clements[/name]
[name]Matthew[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] [name]Clements[/name]
[name]Oliver[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] [name]Clements[/name] (I really like [name]Abigail[/name] , [name]Isabel[/name] , and [name]Oliver[/name] together! or [name]Abby[/name] , [name]Izzy[/name] , and [name]Ollie[/name]!)
[name]Colton[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] [name]Clements[/name]
[name]Kaden[/name] [name]Wiliam[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] [name]Clements[/name]
[name]Caleb[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] [name]Clements[/name]
[name]Kyle[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] [name]Clements[/name]
[name]Daniel[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] [name]Clements[/name]
[name]Gregory[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] [name]Clements[/name]
[name]Timothy[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] [name]Clements[/name]

Its getting late over here so thats all i have for now , good luck , [name]Hope[/name] it helps!!! (:

[name]Hi[/name] Icey100names,
Thank you so much for your suggestions! I love many of these names, but some are already used in my family! [name]Do[/name] you think [name]Daniel[/name] goes ok with the end letter being “l” like both my girls? There are some great names on your list - you don’t think a ‘c’ name is too much with a ‘c’ surname? Once again, thanks for your great suggestions! All the best!

Your welcome and thank you ! (:
I don’t think the “l” endings are such a problem , they go very well with your last name!
The “C” repeating names i think are good if used with certain “C” names like if it was lets say [name]Clint[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] [name]Clements[/name] it would be kind of hard to wrap your tongue around it as where [name]Caleb[/name] and [name]Colton[/name] have almost a sort of difference because of the vowels after the “c”. Also i must say you and your family have very good choices of names! (:
here are some girl names i think might fit in with [name]Abigail[/name] and [name]Isabel[/name]:
[name]Rosalie[/name] * (I like the sound of them together )
[name]Evelyn[/name]
[name]Emily[/name]
[name]Jezabel[/name]
[name]Maribel[/name]
[name]Annabel[/name]
[name]Kendall[/name]
[name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Lillian[/name]
and thats all i can come up with , its kinda tricky with your daughters names both being 3 sylibles and ending in “l” it just gives me the urge to add another “L” (: All the best to you and your family as well!

[name]Abigail[/name] and [name]Isabella[/name] and

I like the forgotten [name]Richard[/name] eg [name]Richard[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] [name]Clements[/name]

[name]Peter[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] [name]Clements[/name]
[name]Douglas[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] [name]Clements[/name]

[name]Ethan[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] [name]Clements[/name]

[name]Rolf[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] [name]Clements[/name]

rollo

[name]Hi[/name], sorry it took so long to reply! Thank you again for your responses! Icey100names, if I didn’t love [name]Sylvia[/name] so much, I would be so tempted with [name]Rosalie[/name]! It’s so gorgeous! We have had [name]Emily[/name] and [name]Evelyn[/name] on our list - I love them too (we have similar taste!) but I had not thought of [name]Hazel[/name] - I like that too!

[name]Rollo[/name], thankyou so much for your thoughtful list. I love [name]Charles[/name] (with nickname [name]Charley[/name]!), but I don’t personally like the flow of [name]Charles[/name] [name]Clements[/name], and I prefer not to use a nickname ([name]Charley[/name]) as a full name - I like the option of a full name and a nickname. Really liked [name]Jonathon[/name], [name]Jared[/name], [name]Sebastian[/name] on your list (as a teacher, have got some names ruled out!!!)

So, peoples, here is a list of possibilities for a first name:
A brother for [name]Abigail[/name] ([name]Abi[/name]) and [name]Isabel[/name] ([name]Issy[/name]) called…

[name]Alexander[/name] ([name]Al[/name])
[name]Owen[/name] (what is a nickname for this name, any suggestions?)
[name]Daniel[/name] ([name]Dan[/name], [name]Danny[/name])
[name]Joseph[/name] ([name]Joe[/name])
[name]Matthew[/name] ([name]Matt[/name])
[name]Vincent[/name] (don’t like the nicknames [name]Vinny[/name], and [name]Vince[/name] so unsure about this name)
[name]Caleb[/name] ([name]Cal[/name], [name]Cale[/name])
and a name my husband would probably never go for, but I think is great: [name]Lysander[/name] (nicknames?!)

So I would welcome any suggestions, comments, and additions! Still waiting to find a name that makes me go “ah yes, of course that it who you are!” when talking to my belly!
Thanks everyone!

I love [name]Caleb[/name] with [name]Abigail[/name] and [name]Isabel[/name]! It shares the L and B while still sounding distinct. Especially with nn’s ([name]Abi[/name], [name]Issy[/name] and [name]Cal[/name]/e), the names are all lovely and strong individually and together.

[name]Hi[/name], sorry about the delay. Thanks Gwensmon for you thoughtful comments! I do like [name]Caleb[/name] but, I guess I’m still waiting for the "aha!"moment.

Other names on my lst I forgot to put on before for collective commentry:
[name]Ewan[/name] (no nickname? and I do so love a name you can nickname!)
[name]Leo[/name] (also no nickname, but I love it. Maybe Leonard, Leo for nickname?)
[name]Theodore[/name] ([name]Theo[/name] - apparently this is popular, but I’ve never met a [name]Theo[/name] yet)
[name]Jared[/name] (nickname?)
[name]Sebastian[/name] ([name]Seb[/name])
and very oldfashioned, not sure my husband would go for it, but I love it: [name]Albert[/name]! ([name]Al[/name], [name]Albie[/name], [name]Bert[/name], [name]Bertie[/name])

So all comments and further suggetions gratefully received! Actually, it is fun hunting names, especially with company!

I like the idea of [name]Leonard[/name] being shortened to [name]Leo[/name]. [name]Leo[/name] is a great name but a little short to be a full name in my opinion. I have yet to meet a [name]Theodore[/name] or [name]Theo[/name] as well.

A few ideas-

[name]Edward[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] nn [name]Ned[/name], [name]Ted[/name], [name]Teddy[/name]
[name]Frederick[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] nn [name]Fred[/name]
[name]Griffin[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] nn [name]Griff[/name]
[name]Graham[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] nn [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Rafferty[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] nn [name]Rafe[/name]
[name]Robert[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Vernon[/name] nn [name]Bo[/name]

[name]Hi[/name] everyone,
thanks for your great responses, at the moment [name]Alexander[/name] is top of the list but I have always loved [name]Frederick[/name] and [name]Leo[/name] (from [name]Leonard[/name]), so they are back on the list for discussion…
I love [name]Edward[/name] (and all the nicknames!) but I have an [name]Isabel[/name], so is that too close to Twilight’s [name]Isabella[/name] and [name]Edward[/name]? I haven’t read the books or seen the movie, not really interested, but I know it was a phenomenon and I don’t want my name choices to make people think I am an obsessed fan! What do you all think?
