Sibling for Beatrice

We’re expecting baby number 2, we already have a [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f].

Here is our current shortlist, does anyone have any similar suggestions we might not have thought of?

Girls:
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]
[name_f]Greta[/name_f]
[name_f]Melody[/name_f]

Boys:
[name_m]Barnaby[/name_m]
[name_m]Benedict[/name_m] (is the Much [name_f]Ado[/name_f] About Nothing “[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_m]Benedick[/name_m]” similarity too much?! - as well as just preferring it, [name_m]Benedict[/name_m] works A LOT better with our last name than [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m])
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]
[name_m]Tobias[/name_m]

Names we like, but can’t use:
Girls:
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]

Boys:
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Miles[/name_m]
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u]
[name_m]Alistair[/name_m]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m]
[name_m]Andrew[/name_m] ([name_u]Drew[/name_u])
[name_u]James[/name_u]

Thanks

Of your list, I think [name_f]Margot[/name_f], [name_f]Greta[/name_f], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] go perfectly with [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. Some other thoughts:

[name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
[name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]

[name_u]Arlo[/name_u]
[name_m]Atticus[/name_m]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m]
[name_u]Dexter[/name_u]
[name_m]Milo[/name_m]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u]

From your lists, I absolutely love [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] with[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. I also like [name_m]Benedict[/name_m] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f].

Have you considered:

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Marilla[/name_f]

or

[name_m]Dominic[/name_m]
[name_m]Gregory[/name_m]
[name_m]Julian[/name_m]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m]

Absolutely on the right lines, thank you!

I love [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]! I also love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_m]Dominic[/name_m].

If you love other names that happen to be in [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m]'s plays, I say go for it, just don’t be surprised if people think you intentionally used Shakespearean names. ([name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_m]Benedict[/name_m], etc) I would say just be prepared to get comments about it, but name your kids whatever YOU love!

I think all your potential girls names work well except for [name_f]Melody[/name_f]. Totally different style and feel to the others imo. I particularly love [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] together!

From your boys’ list I think [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] work the best, although it would depend on if you would be using nicknames and which ones. I think [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_f]Bea[/name_f] are a bit rhyme-y with the prominent ‘ee’ sound, however [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] and [name_f]Bea[/name_f] are a lovely combo! I also like [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m], but I’m generally not a fan of repeating first letters among siblings.

Some other ideas:

[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f]

[name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_m]Hugh[/name_m]/[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
[name_m]Simon[/name_m]
[name_m]Julian[/name_m]

[name_f]Vera[/name_f]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f]
[name_f]Lottie[/name_f]
[name_f]Helene[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]

[name_u]Love[/name_u] the name [name_f]Greta[/name_f]

For a girl [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] or [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. For a boy Laertes or [name_m]Marco[/name_m]

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Benedict[/name_m]! Keep in mind, if you have a third child, you might have to continue with b names.
