Sibling for Cashel

We’re expecting our second, and are looking for a name to go with our son’s name of [name]Cashel[/name]. We picked his name to honor my Irish heritage, because we loved the meaning and the sound… but it’s been tough to match! If this little one is a girl, she’ll be [name]Ainslie[/name], after my mother. But for boys, we’re struggling a bit more. Our last name is very British sounding, so names from the UK, [name]Scotland[/name], [name]Wales[/name] or [name]Ireland[/name] seem to fit best. Some of the names we’ve talked about:

[name]Rainer[/name] - [name]German[/name] in origin, which also honors family heritage, and we like the meaning/sound. Does it work with [name]Cashel[/name]?
[name]Graham[/name] - Like the sound, but is it too popular? [name]Cashel[/name] is so unusual that we don’t want a name that’s a lot more common
[name]Torin[/name] - Nickname “[name]Tor[/name]” which we like… but is it too close to [name]Tori[/name], too feminine?

Middle name will be [name]Michael[/name], after my father. We don’t want a “C” name (no matching initials); no “K” names, since both my husband and I are “K” names, our last name starts with D, so no “D” names. Since [name]Ainslie[/name] is on tap for a girl either now or later, we’d like to stay away from “A” names, too.

Thank you - any ideas would be MUCH appreciated!!

Oh, [name]Cashel[/name] is one of my favorite Irish names for boys and it’s still uncommon compared to names like [name]Liam[/name]. Here are some Celtic/English names. I’m also listing names with letters you don’t want because I think they would go well with your son’s name. All the best!

Oh, I really like [name]Cashel[/name] with [name]Torin[/name]. [name]Torin[/name] [name]Michael[/name] flows well, too. I don’t think [name]Tor[/name] sounds feminine at all. The image that comes to my mind is the Princes [name]Cor[/name] and [name]Corin[/name] from the [name]Narnia[/name] series.

Okay, I think [name]Torin[/name] [name]Michael[/name] is definitely in the lead at this point - foreverfreebird, I [name]LOVE[/name] the reference to the [name]Narnia[/name] princes, and that does totally read very male to me. Thanks!!
