My sister [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is expecting later this year and doesn’t know the baby’s sex. Her girls are [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. What’s a good sibling name?
They like traditional and more classic, but not too old-fashioned (no [name_f]Winifred[/name_f], [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], Perregrine) and not too cutesy or nickname-sounding (i.e. not [name_f]Hattie[/name_f], [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], [name_u]Freddie[/name_u], or [name_u]Nick[/name_u] as a given name). Last name sounds like McGlayed. They may be interested in honoring (but probably not using unless as a mn) the following names: [name_f]Barbara[/name_f], [name_f]Avis[/name_f], [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f], [name_u]Terry[/name_u], [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]/[name_u]Chris[/name_u]. They like but can’t use [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]/[name_f]Louise[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Victoria[/name_f], [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]/[name_u]Sam[/name_u], [name_u]James[/name_u]/[name_u]Jay[/name_u], [name_m]David[/name_m].
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] are really lovely together.
For boys, I would suggest,
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m]
[name_m]Julian[/name_m]
[name_m]George[/name_m] (would be lovely, except of course for the Cambridges!)
