Sibling for Isaiah and Zachariah

We have some time to decide but I really hate waiting. I posted a thread before trying to pair some name together and I still haven’t done it but my list keeps growing because this is our last baby and I want to go out with a bang and use a name that I love. The names that I love keep growing but I don’t know if I love them or not or if I’m just choosing them because. LOL.

If you could help me narrow down the list, take away the ones that don’t fit, add ones that will it would be great.

Our boys are [name]Isaiah[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name] and [name]Zachariah[/name] [name]Xavier[/name]. I wanted to stick with the pattern that had been started but I really just want to find the right name so if it’s not biblical or ending in -ah or -a I won’t mind.

Boy Choices:
[name]Abram[/name]
[name]Gideon[/name]
[name]Malachi[/name]
[name]Silas[/name]
[name]Cyrus[/name]
[name]Jasper[/name]
[name]Ezra[/name]
[name]Moses[/name]
[name]Sebastien[/name]
[name]Ephraim[/name] (Might be too weird)
[name]Ezekiel[/name]
[name]Phineas[/name]
[name]Asa[/name] (Not so much anymore)
[name]Noah[/name] ([name]Way[/name] to popular but I love it)

Girl Choices:
[name]Anthea[/name]
[name]Ariela[/name]/ [name]Ariel[/name]
[name]Roselle[/name]/ [name]Rosette[/name]
[name]Calista[/name]
[name]Esme[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Evangeline[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] (Only because of the NN [name]Charlie[/name] but I don’t if that’s a good enough reason to use the name)

I like the longer girls names ([name]Genevieve[/name], [name]Evangeline[/name], [name]Josephine[/name]) because they just seem so elegant. More suggestions like that would be great.

I like names that sound aminstream but aren’t. I.E. [name]Zachariah[/name] ([name]Zach[/name]) can fit in with the [name]Zachary[/name]'s but it has the flair of not being [name]Zachary[/name]. If that makes sense.

No one? I know it’s long but I could use the help please. Thanks.

We have VERY similar taste in names! One of my favorite names is [name]Ezekiel[/name] but I think it might be a little weird having both a [name]Zeke[/name] and a [name]Zack[/name], you know? I think [name]Silas[/name], [name]Gideon[/name] or [name]Ezra[/name] would work best with your other sons’ names.
A few other ideas:
[name]Thaddeus[/name]
[name]Tobias[/name]
[name]Jeremiah[/name]

My favorites from your girls list is [name]Josephine[/name].
Lots of great names. Good luck with your decision

[name]Eben[/name] [name]Malachi[/name]

I love your sons names, [name]Isaiah[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name] and [name]Zachariah[/name] [name]Xavier[/name]. Here are my opinions on your lists with my faves in bold. All the best!
Boy Choices:
[name]Abram[/name] - I love this name but it’s similar to [name]Gabriel[/name] (abram & abriel).
[name]Gideon[/name] - I like this name and it has it’s own unique ending.
[name]Malachi[/name] - I love it but it’s too matchy in sound with both names.
[name]Silas[/name] - A great Biblical gem! I like the fact that it has a unique ending. What do you think of the combo [name]Silas[/name] [name]Raphael[/name]?
[name]Cyrus[/name] - Similar to [name]Silas[/name] but I like it too!
[name]Jasper[/name] - Oh, this is nice! Spunky vibe. This would work well with your son’s names.
[name]Ezra[/name] - OK but personally, I wouldn’t go with a third name ending in “a”.
[name]Moses[/name] - OK
[name]Sebastien[/name] - This is the French spelling of [name]Sebastian[/name] but I would rather have it spelled with an “a” not an “e”. This is a saint’s name and a timeless classic. I love it with your boys names.
[name]Ephraim[/name] (Might be too weird) - There may be pronunciation issues with this name. What about [name]Hiram[/name]?
[name]Ezekiel[/name] - I like this name better than [name]Ezra[/name] but a little rhymey with [name]Isaiah[/name]'s middle name of [name]Gabriel[/name].
[name]Phineas[/name] - This name is rarely chosen but I do think it could work with your sibset.
[name]Asa[/name] - I love this name - it’s strong and masculine. I would recommend it but it shares an “a” ending so I can’t. [name]Shame[/name] :frowning:
[name]Noah[/name] ([name]Way[/name] to popular but I love it) - Nice but too matchy. This name is so popular that it would not allow you to “go out with a bang”!

Girl Choices:
[name]Anthea[/name] - [name]Alethea[/name] would be a better choice.
[name]Ariela[/name]/ [name]Ariel[/name] - Not my style
[name]Roselle[/name]/ [name]Rosette[/name] - Not a fan. [name]Do[/name] you like [name]Rosalie[/name]?
[name]Calista[/name] - Greek name that seems strange with your sons names.
[name]Esme[/name] - I like this name but not with [name]Isaiah[/name] and [name]Zachariah[/name]. It’s too different in style next to the boys.
[name]Josephine[/name] - Feminine version of the Biblical [name]Josephine[/name]. I can see this in your sibset.
[name]Genevieve[/name] - French gem but seems out of place next to your son’s names.
[name]Evangeline[/name] - I think this would work well with [name]Isaiah[/name] and [name]Zachariah[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] - I love this elegant and ladylike name but it seems too predictable next to [name]Isaiah[/name] & [name]Zachariah[/name].

Girls
[name]Susannah[/name] ( strangely, I like this longer name with your sons even though it too ends in “ah”. It’s just too classy to overlook).

I hate the NN [name]Zach[/name] (hubby picked [name]Zachariah[/name]) so I we will not be calling him that but I’m sure his friends and most people will so it makes sense.

I am in [name]LOVE[/name] with [name]Tobias[/name]. I can’t believe I didn’t add it.
[name]Thaddeus[/name] is great but a little weird.
[name]Jeremiah[/name] was actually on our list for a while, [name]Jeremiah[/name] [name]Lucas[/name], but it rhymes too much with [name]Zachariah[/name]. [name]Riah[/name] and [name]Miah[/name] so it was nixed.

I’m french that’s why I favor the french spelling of [name]Sebastien[/name] and the name [name]Genevieve[/name]. It is so beautiful pronounced in French.

[name]Rosalie[/name] - I love this name but I can’t think of a middle name to go with it and the second middle name is [name]Marie[/name], family tradition, so I was worried it was too rhymie.

[name]Atticus[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name]
[name]Orion[/name] - [name]LOVe[/name] but hubby won’t go for it because he has a brother named [name]Brian[/name] :frowning:
[name]Ptolemy[/name] - Too strange for us
[name]Hector[/name] - No
[name]Marcus[/name] - Definitely not. Bad connections with this one.
[name]Jericho[/name] (Biblical place name) - No
[name]Canaan[/name] (Biblical place name) - No
[name]Cosmo[/name] - No Fairly Godparents come to mind.
[name]Cassius[/name] / [name]Cassian[/name] / [name]Caspian[/name] - [name]LOVe[/name] [name]Caspian[/name]
[name]Theron[/name] - I don’t know about this one.
[name]Darius[/name] - This is kind of nice
Elkanah - I’m not sure how to pronounce it so no. LOL
[name]Jubal[/name] - No
[name]Aloysius[/name] - Too strange
[name]Jabez[/name] - No
[name]Lucius[/name] - [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] and it makes me think of the word luscious
[name]Matthias[/name] - Hubby is [name]Matthew[/name] and he doesn’t want a name sake
[name]Nahum[/name] - No
Penuel - No
Lamech - No
[name]Oberon[/name] / [name]Auberon[/name] _ [name]LOVE[/name]
[name]Augustus[/name] / [name]Augustine[/name] - Maybe
[name]Philemon[/name] - No
[name]Shem[/name] - No.
[name]Valerian[/name] - Makes me think of Vanerial (sp?) Disease
[name]Ignatius[/name] / [name]Inigo[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name]
Girls
[name]Susannah[/name] - No it seems too old lady to me for some reason.
[name]Delilah[/name] - I am in [name]LOVE[/name] with this name I would die for a [name]Delilah[/name] [name]Bernadette[/name] but I don’t know if I could see and adult with this name. Can you?
[name]Salome[/name] - No
[name]Mehitabel[/name] - No
[name]Jemima[/name] - Syrup No.
[name]Hadassah[/name] - No
[name]Shifra[/name] - No
[name]Calliope[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name]
[name]Naomi[/name] - No. I knew a girl with this name and she left a bad taste unfortunately
[name]Adina[/name] - No
[name]Selah[/name] - Makes me think of a celler (sp?)
[name]Phoebe[/name] - Maybe
[name]Juno[/name] - Maybe
[name]Ariadne[/name] - I like it but it doesn’t roll of the tongue very well to me
[name]Olympia[/name] - I don’t know
[name]Electra[/name] - No
Merari - No
Semele - No
[name]Mahalia[/name] - No
[name]Aurora[/name] - We’ve had this on our list off and on but like with [name]Ariadne[/name] it doesn’t roll very well
[name]Penelope[/name] - I like but it it’s along the lines of [name]Clementine[/name]. Great for a little girl but not an adult.

Thank you. These were great suggestions.

Anyone else?

I think [name]Josiah[/name] would be a perfect fit with your other sons. [name]Jonah[/name] is a distant second choice.
