Our [name]Louella[/name] [name]Wren[/name] was born in January 2017. We are expecting baby # 2 in May 2018. We really struggled to come to our daughter’s name and I’m overwhelmed that I have this responsibly again!
Our last name is German (starts with “C” - initials are very important to me. ie. I liked a name combo that would have had her as “OAC” - on approved credit? no thanks! LOL)
We love that our daughter’s name is both French and German in origin. Her nicknames “[name]Lou[/name]” & “[name]Lulu[/name]” totally suit her. We like that it’s classic but also unique and that it is feminine.
If the new baby is a girl, we want another long name. We also want it to be a name also popular in the 1700-1800’s (and not now).
I love names ending in “ine” and “ette”. I do not want another name that ends in “a” or includes “ell”.
I would love a name that could have “[name]Ada[/name]” as an nick name or a middle name. Not [name]Adaline[/name] as it is far too popular now.
My favourite nick name is [name]Gigi[/name] but I haven’t been able to find a full name that would work with it that matches our ‘requirements’. It can’t be [name]Georgia[/name] as that’s my grandmother’s name and it would cause too much upset in the family (as much as I love the name).
My favourites so far (thoughts are appreciated!!):
[name]Odette[/name]
[name]Adette[/name] (can this be [name]Ada[/name]?)
[name]Ivette[/name] (can this be [name]Ivy[/name]?)
[name]Sabine[/name] (if I was naming her alone she would be Sabine, but husband knew a dog named Sabine once… ugh!!!)
