Sibling for Parker

My husband and I are having our second baby and we are waiting to find out if it is a boy or a girl. We already have a daughter named [name]Parker[/name]. Any ideas on boy or girl names that sound great with [name]Parker[/name]?

For a girl, I think I would stick with another unisex name like below, and avoid super frilly names:

[name]Avery[/name] *
[name]Harper[/name] *
[name]Morgan[/name] *
[name]Reese[/name] *
[name]Skyler[/name] *

For a boy, I would suggest a name that is undisputed male, so that there is no confusion in the kids gender. Good luck!

I agree about sticking with another unisex name for a girl and a nice strong name for a boy.

[name]Jasper[/name] (I know a girl with this name)

I agree with the previous two posters.

With a girl named [name]Parker[/name] you will need some strong boys’ names (if it’s a boy), what about:
[name]Cullen[/name] (scr+w Twilight, this is an awesome name!)

[name]Romilly[/name] (although now that I think about it, it’s probably too feminine to be paired with [name]Parker[/name])

[name]Archer[/name] (although I think that non-er names sound better with [name]Parker[/name])

Good luck!

Thanks for all the helpful advice!
Right now my top two for girls are:

[name]Sawyer[/name] (how about the double er with two girls? I like it, but is it cheesy?)

My top two for boys are:

Any thoughts?

I think the double “er” ending can be cheesy…
It’s all about how YOU feel. [name]Do[/name] you like [name]Sloane[/name]? It has the same “feel” as [name]Sawyer[/name] (to me) without the “er” ending.

Sidenote: do you like [name]Camden[/name]? I think I like it better than [name]Cameron[/name]. Less common, too.

I don’t personally mind [name]Parker[/name] and [name]Sawyer[/name] together, but you may feel locked into another -er name if a [name]Baby[/name] #3 ever comes along…

You may also like [name]Sydney[/name] or [name]Skye[/name] as more S names for a baby girl. I might also suggest [name]Mackenzie[/name], even though you may feel it has lost favor in the naming world. However, like [name]Parker[/name], it is a unisex surname name, and I honestly think it has real appeal.

It is really going to be tough to find a name masculine enough for a son to offset [name]Parker[/name], and, though I generally like [name]Jameson[/name] and [name]Connor[/name], neither seems to get there for me. [name]Parker[/name] and [name]Jameson[/name], [name]Parker[/name] and [name]Connor[/name] - each set sounds like two brothers to me. You may find this with each name you try for a boy, so maybe it is nothing to worry about. I might try a more masculine name, like [name]Ryan[/name], to pair with [name]Parker[/name]…
