[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone, this is my first time posting I’ve gotten a lot of help and ideas from this forum in the past by just lurking without an account. I’m having a lot of difficulty trying to find a good name for a boy that fits well with [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] and [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I both like the name [name_u]Arlo[/name_u], but don’t think it goes very well with the girls’ names. [name_f]My[/name_f] very short list so far consists of:
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_u]Rowen[/name_u]
[name_u]Jonah[/name_u]
and [name_m]Kellen[/name_m]
Congratulations ! Boys are so fun!!
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f] and [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] are such a beautiful pair!!!
[name_f]My[/name_f] first instinct was maybe something floral:
[name_u]Linden[/name_u]
Oakland/ [name_u]Oakley[/name_u]
[name_u]Florian[/name_u]
Briar/ [name_m]Bryer[/name_m]
[name_m]Elwood[/name_m]
[name_m]Roosevelt[/name_m] ( maybe a little bit of a bold choice)
[name_m]Heath[/name_m]
[name_u]Adler[/name_u]
[name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m]
Hawkley
[name_u]Reed[/name_u]
Ash(er)
However going on your short list for boys maybe you want something more traditional .
I love [name_m]Kellan[/name_m] and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] with your girls , but I have a wonderful association with a [name_u]Jonah[/name_u]
[name_f]My[/name_f] slightly more traditional ideas would be:
[name_u]Jasper[/name_u]
[name_m]Fergus[/name_m]
[name_u]Brooks[/name_u]
[name_u]Rhodes[/name_u]
[name_u]Hayes[/name_u]
[name_m]Wells[/name_m]
[name_u]Harry[/name_u]
[name_m]Ryland[/name_m]
[name_m]Gage[/name_m]
[name_m]Forrest[/name_m]
[name_u]River[/name_u]
[name_m]Jedidiah[/name_m]
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f] and [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] are dreamy! I actually think [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] fits perfectly - playful, poetic and fresh - like [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] and [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f]!
Of your short list, I like [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] and [name_u]Rowen[/name_u] (prefer [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], but [name_u]Rowen[/name_u] is nice too!) They both have a gentle, but nature-y vibe to them that I enjoy in [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] and [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]!
[name_m]Kellen[/name_m] is pretty cool and distinctive too!
I actually think [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] goes very well with [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] & [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f]! I also like your option of [name_m]Oliver[/name_m].
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f] and [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] are absolutely gorgeous! I also love [name_u]Arlo[/name_u], here are some other boy names that you might like
[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! [name_u]Welcome[/name_u] and congrats! [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] and [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] are darling! I think [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] sounds super lovely with them–peppy, happy and whimsical! [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] are also lovely choices!
I don’t think [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] is a bad match for [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] and [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f].
But if you want another name, then… [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f], and [name_u]Rowen[/name_u] / [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] would be a good set, as would [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f], and [name_m]Kellen[/name_m]. Other ideas:
I think [name_m]Kellen[/name_m] if you want to keep double letter theme going. Otherwise, in that vein:
[name_u]Griffin[/name_u]
[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m]
[name_u]Callan[/name_u] (I prefer [name_u]Callan[/name_u] to [name_m]Kellen[/name_m] because I prefer [name_u]Cal[/name_u] to Kel…)
[name_m]Otto[/name_m]
[name_u]Hollis[/name_u]
[name_m]Atticus[/name_m]
[name_u]Ellery[/name_u]
[name_u]Beckett[/name_u]
[name_u]Willoughby[/name_u]
But I think besides [name_m]Kellen[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] suits [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] and [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] best of your list (and any of the listed names above). I like [name_u]Arlo[/name_u], but it does feel possibly too “pale” compared to your girls’ names and gets a little lost in there for me. If you want to go [name_u]Arlo[/name_u], I would use [name_u]Charles[/name_u] nickname [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] instead. I don’t think [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] (it feels like a 90s name while these are more “turn of century” names), and [name_u]Rowen[/name_u] / [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] is OK as it has the outdoorsy feel/meaning, but somehow doesn’t grab me quite as much. It definitely goes though!
