This community was so helpful when we were naming our first, [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f].
What names- both genders- pair well to you with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]? We call her [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosie[/name_f].

On our short list:
Boys : [name_m]Duncan[/name_m], [name_m]Otto[/name_m] and [name_u]Asher[/name_u] “Ash” ( middle would be [name_m]Anthony[/name_m], [name_u]David[/name_u] or [name_m]Allen[/name_m]- family names)

[name_m]Duncan[/name_m] [name_m]Anthony[/name_m], [name_m]Otto[/name_m] [name_u]David[/name_u] and [name_u]Francis[/name_u] [name_u]Marie[/name_u] are such cute, vintage options!

To be honest I love every single name on your list! They all go beautifully with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]!

Congrats on #2!

To me, either [name_m]Duncan[/name_m] or [name_u]Asher[/name_u] for boys (Duncan [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] and [name_u]Asher[/name_u] [name_u]David[/name_u] would be my choices!) [name_m]Otto[/name_m] isn’t the same vibe and is too short IMO.

To me, [name_u]Francis[/name_u] has the same taste as [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] (Francis [name_u]Marie[/name_u] would be my choice of the middles!) The other three are way more modern IMO.

Looking at your list I really like [name_m]Otto[/name_m] paired with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. [name_m]Otto[/name_m] is bright, handsome, distinguished and sounds gorgeous with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. Such a sweet pairing. [name_m]Otto[/name_m] [name_u]David[/name_u] would be lovely. [name_u]Asher[/name_u] is also lovely a sweet biblical name with the lovely meaning ‘happy, fortunate; blessed one’ and I think works well with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. But I do prefer [name_m]Otto[/name_m]. However [name_m]Duncan[/name_m] isn’t my style just doesn’t have the sweet feels of [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f].

Concerning your girl names I think all of them work aside from [name_f]Savannah[/name_f]. In my opinion [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] just feels way to modern next to [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. Looking at your other options [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] works despite not being my favourite name. [name_u]Francis[/name_u] is a stable classic but I prefer [name_f]Frances[/name_f] for girls I think [name_u]Francis[/name_u] spelling leans more masculine whereas [name_f]Frances[/name_f] more feminine. [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] + [name_f]Frances[/name_f] are very classic together but I think [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] feels more suited to [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. Finally my favourite from your list is [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]. [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] is such a pretty classic completely underused, lovely biblical history, a peaceful sound and with a calming meaning ‘pleasantness’.

With the lovely [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f], I’m enjoying:

  • [name_m]Otto[/name_m] - cool but gentle, fresh but classic
  • [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] - warm, cheerful and literary
  • [name_u]Francis[/name_u] ‘Frankie’ - it has that same classic but sparky feel of [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]

[name_m]Duncan[/name_m], [name_u]Asher[/name_u], and [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] could all work too. [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] are maybe too close to me? Not unusably so, but I feel the others are better.

Here are my thoughts on your lists:

Boys-

Duncan-I like the vibe; it’s kind of old fashioned & quirky & a little bit nerdy. There’s something about the sound of it that isn’t my favorite, but it’s not a bad choice. It does go well with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f].

Otto-I don’t know. I feel the same way here as I do about [name_m]Duncan[/name_m]. I kind of like the vibe of it, but not the look or the sound. And it goes nicely with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f].

[name_u]Asher[/name_u] ‘Ash’-I think it’s cool; different style as [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] in my opinion, but it doesn’t clash. It’s a bit more popular than the other two. [name_m]Otto[/name_m] does appear to be rising up the charts though.

I like [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] too; kind of prefer just [name_f]Tess[/name_f], but I understand wanting a longer name. I like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tess[/name_f], but that’s kind of confusing.

[name_f]Savannah[/name_f] ‘Savi’-I’m not into this one. It feels way trendy & a bit dated compared to the classic [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f].

Naomi-This is fine. It’s not a name that I could ever get into, but I don’t know why. There’s nothing wrong with it; I just don’t like the sound.

[name_u]Francis[/name_u] ‘Frankie’-Well…I love [name_f]Frances[/name_f] spelled this way for a girl. [name_u]Francis[/name_u] seems strictly male. [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] isn’t my favorite nn, but I can see the appeal. I find [name_f]Franny[/name_f] or [name_f]Francie[/name_f] way cuter.

Especially [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Beth[/name_f] in this case.
