Sibling for Susannah and Jonah

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I’m looking for suggestions for a sibling for [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] and [name_m]Jonah[/name_m]. I’m not expecting now but hoping to add one more to our crew this year. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t think we’ll find out the sex of the baby so we’ll need boy and girl choices. We (obviously) like more traditional, biblical names but are open to any ideas. Our kids have the nicknames [name_f]Zuzu[/name_f] and [name_m]Jonesy[/name_m] so we like having the option of fun, spunky nicknames. I like that [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] and [name_m]Jonah[/name_m] share the “ah” ending but it isn’t necessary for the third. It might be nice to choose an S or J name to link them all together if we don’t go with an “ah” ending. Appreciate the ideas!!!

Names we’ve considered:
[name_f]Sarah[/name_f] nickname [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]
[name_f]Serafina[/name_f] nickname [name_f]Fifi[/name_f] or [name_f]Fina[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] nickname [name_f]Cece[/name_f]

[name_u]Jordan[/name_u] nickname [name_m]Jordy[/name_m]
[name_m]Jacob[/name_m] nickname [name_m]Coby[/name_m]
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m]
[name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] nickname [name_u]Izzy[/name_u]
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m]

[name_f]Serafina[/name_f] & [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] are lovely.

I like [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] and [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m]

I really like [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] with your other kids, the nn [name_f]Fifi[/name_f] or [name_f]Fina[/name_f] would fit right in with [name_f]Zuzu[/name_f] and [name_m]Jonesy[/name_m]. My second choice would be [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] ([name_f]Cece[/name_f]).

I also feel like [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] is too close to [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]. As much as it is a good name, it’s nice to have name diversity (if you also want to keep the “ah” ending).

As for boy names, I like [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] and [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] best.

Boy name suggestions:
[name_u]Noah[/name_u]
[name_u]Micah[/name_u]
[name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m]
[name_m]Joshua[/name_m]
[name_u]Luca[/name_u]

[name_u]Jordan[/name_u] and [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] are my favourites from your lists, especially [name_m]Jordy[/name_m].

Some other thoughts:

[name_f]Deborah[/name_f]
[name_f]Joanna[/name_f] / [name_f]Johanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Judith[/name_f]
[name_f]Leah[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_f]Martha[/name_f]
[name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] / [name_f]Rebekah[/name_f]
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]
[name_f]Tirzah[/name_f]
[name_f]Zipporah[/name_f]

[name_m]Elijah[/name_m]
[name_m]Jared[/name_m]
[name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m]
[name_m]Jethro[/name_m]
[name_m]Joel[/name_m]
[name_m]Joshua[/name_m]
[name_u]Micah[/name_u]
[name_m]Sampson[/name_m]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
[name_u]Seth[/name_u]
[name_m]Simon[/name_m]
[name_m]Zachariah[/name_m]

I love Susannah and Jonah as siblings! Classic, retro, and spunky. I love their nicknames as well. From your list, I think that Sarah nn Sadie is my favorite. Sarah wears well through life, Sadie is cool and spunky, and it fits beautifully with Susannah and Jonah.

Louisa: The first name I thought of for a sister. This name is beautiful, classic, and spunky, with great nickname options such as Lou, Lucy, Isa, or Lulu. While it doesn’t share the same letters, it shares the same ending sound as Susannah and Jonah plus has the “s” from Susannah.
Hannah: This name is sweet, vintage, and historical, just like Susannah, and it reminds me of the Sarah and Clara on your list, but a little less popular. Plus, it has the ‘-ah’ ending.
Savannah: Southern, stunning, and with an “S” and an “-ah.” Some might find Susannah and Savannah too close, but I find them distinctive enough from each other in sound.
Jemimah: A quirkier choice, for sure, but it has the sound and structure of Jonah with the sweetness of Susannah.
Delilah/Dahlia: One of these two charming, stunning names might be my favorite for you. So many spunky nickname options (Della, Lila, Dolly, Lia, etc.), lots of southern flair, history, and distinction. Plus, the “-ah” connection! Dinah is another charming idea.
Other thoughts included Georgia nn Georgie, Gia, or Jojo (for the style and substance), Julia nn Junie or Jules for the beauty, Rebecca nn Reba or Becca for its charm and sweetness, and Cordelia nn Cory, Delia, or Orie for the vintage appeal.
I hope this was helpful, and best of luck deciding! I stuck to girls’ names because I do not tend to be very insightful with boys’.

I love [name_f]Clara[/name_f], but for you I really like [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Cece[/name_f] is an adorable nickname.

[name_m]Ezra[/name_m] is very handsome, it’s just a shame there aren’t really any nickname options. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m] nn [name_m]Ezra[/name_m]? [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] is nice too.
