Starting to think about sibling names! First child is [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. I like names that are charming and sweet (almost a little frilly) but still age well. Current favorites include…
Girls
[name_f]Ada[/name_f]
[name_f]Etta[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] (love this dearly, but not the popularity)
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is gorgeous!
Here are my thoughts on your lists:
Girls
[name_f]Ada[/name_f]-I like this. It’s simple yet elegant. But at the same time it’s homey & kind. It’s getting a bit common, but not too bad.
[name_f]Etta[/name_f]-This seems like a good compromise if you can’t use [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. Very vintage & charming, but way not popular.
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] (love this dearly, but not the popularity)-Pretty name but yep…way over done.
[name_f]Lisette[/name_f]-Ooh, this is different. I love the [name_m]French[/name_m]-y feel w/[name_f]Amelie[/name_f].
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]-This goes perfectly w/[name_f]Amelie[/name_f] too. I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Genny[/name_f] though. Are you? Is that unavoidable? I like the nns [name_f]Gigi[/name_f], [name_f]Vivie[/name_f] & [name_f]Evie[/name_f] a lot.
[name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f]-I can’t personally get into this one. It just doesn’t have that nice of a sound to me.
[name_f]May[/name_f]-[name_u]Love[/name_u] the simplicity here. It’s kind of like [name_f]Ada[/name_f] in that it’s simple, elegant, homey & kind.
[name_f]Noelle[/name_f]- I don’t care much for this one, but it’s fine & works well for you.
Boys
[name_u]Porter[/name_u]-I’m a big beer person, so I just think of the beer style.
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]-I love this! It’s beautiful, yet masculine & a little outdoorsy. Perfect w/[name_f]Amelie[/name_f].
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m]-Very cool, & kind of same as above. I like [name_u]Jude[/name_u] better though.
[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]-This is cute. I love [name_u]Max[/name_u]. Kind of prefer just [name_u]Max[/name_u] or [name_m]Maximus[/name_m].
I have an [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] too [name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f], And [name_u]Jude[/name_u] are my favourites of your options, and I also like [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_u]Jude[/name_u], [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] (I prefer just [name_u]Max[/name_u] or [name_m]Maxim[/name_m]) and [name_m]Ezra[/name_m].
Some names I like with [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] are:
I’m not the biggest fan of [name_f]Genny[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], but do like [name_f]Evie[/name_f]. We sometimes call [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] “[name_f]Amma[/name_f]”, so my only hesitation with [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and [name_f]Etta[/name_f] is that it sounds a little too “matchy”, but maybe that’s just me overthinking it! Still really love [name_u]Jude[/name_u] for a boy
From people’s suggestions, I love [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], [name_f]Lola[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f] (my grandmother’s name!), [name_m]Bennett[/name_m], and [name_f]Freya[/name_f].
Also, somehow forgot it on the list, but dearly love [name_f]Sabine[/name_f]!
My favourites for a girl are [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and [name_f]May[/name_f], and for boys [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m], have you considered [name_m]Maxim[/name_m] instead? I like it a lot better and works perfectly with [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] with its french style
