Sibling name for Jake and Ruby

Hi,

What is your view on the name Emerson James? Is there a better name? We do middle names as family names so James would stick there but can’t be a first name.

His siblings are

Jake Hudson
Ruby Elise Dawn

If u want family names as the middle name they that is your choose. (In our family we don’t use other family members names 'cause we just don’t (: )

If u want to go with a four letter name to match [name_m]Jake[/name_m] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]:

I love your first two children’s names. [name_m]Jake[/name_m] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] roll off the tongue together beautifully. [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] meshes with them somewhat, [name_f]IMO[/name_f], but in a way I feel like a shorter first name would be keeping more in harmony with the first two children’s names. It’s a shame that you wouldn’t want to use [name_u]James[/name_u] as the first name, because I think that would compliment [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_m]Jake[/name_m] much better than [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] (though, then there would be two “j” male names amongst the siblings, which you may or may not want/care about).

I like the name [name_u]Emerson[/name_u], but I agree with the pp that something short & sweet would suit your sibset better. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like the name [name_m]Emry[/name_m]?

I detest [name_u]Emerson[/name_u], so I think most any name would be better. I love [name_m]Jake[/name_m] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]! I would use another 4 letter name:

We do like [name_u]James[/name_u] but their cousin (the same age as [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] - 20 months old) first name is [name_u]James[/name_u] and they have the same last name so it would get very confusing. Their Uncle is called [name_m]Tom[/name_m] so can’t go with [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. [name_m]Allan[/name_m] is the FIL name. Husband won’t let me have any [name_u]Finn[/name_u]/[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] etc but likes [name_u]Bryn[/name_u].
We have tossed around [name_m]Declan[/name_m] and [name_u]Rhys[/name_u]. I liked [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] as I have only ever come across one person with that name. I initially thought of [name_u]Emery[/name_u] but with our accent it sounds like [name_f]Anne[/name_f]-[name_f]Marie[/name_f] which put me of it. Which then lead me to get a bit stuck for a name.
