My first son’s name is Jackson and I am having twin boys in May! Although Jackson is not a very traditional name, this time I wanted to come up with classic sibling names that would sound not dated 20-30 years down the line.
We like the name Theodore, using the nickname Theo or Teddy. However, we haven’t finalized the twin names yet. Any ideas?
I also read an older post about a mom who named her kids Jackson, Hudson, and Parker and I thought those names were cute and went well together. I’m hoping that we can find something too! Thanks for any help that you can give!
I love [name_u]Jackson[/name_u]. I think [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] would work nicely. I also like [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] and [name_u]Parker[/name_u] but I think [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] and [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] sound a little awkward as siblings (the ‘on’ sound I think).
I like [name_u]Jackson[/name_u], [name_u]Parker[/name_u] & [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] but I’m wondering whether [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] seems too classic next to [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] and [name_u]Parker[/name_u]. Otherwise I think they look and sound really nice together.
I like [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], and I don’t think it’s too startlingly different in style from [name_u]Jackson[/name_u]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you ever call [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] [name_u]Jack[/name_u]? Because [name_u]Jack[/name_u] & [name_u]Theo[/name_u] or [name_u]Jack[/name_u] & [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] are perfection. I know there will be another name in there, but it gives us something to shoot for.
I also think [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] is more of a surname flavor, and you mentioned [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] & [name_u]Parker[/name_u], which are as well. I’m wondering if that is really your style, and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is more of an outlier for you. So I’m going to suggest some more “classic” names like [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], and more “surname” names like [name_u]Jackson[/name_u], and you can see what you lean toward.
While I love [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], I do feel it is a bit too classic next to [name_u]Jackson[/name_u]. Would you consider just using [name_u]Theo[/name_u]? I feel matches better in style to [name_u]Jackson[/name_u], while still maintaining that classic feel.
A few other suggestions:
[name_u]Tate[/name_u] (Theo and [name_u]Tate[/name_u] would be kind of matchy, but all kinds of adorable in my opinion!)
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] (still pretty classic but has a similar surnamey feel like Jackson)
[name_u]Wyatt[/name_u]
[name_m]Lucas[/name_m]
[name_u]Spencer[/name_u]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u]
[name_u]Eliott[/name_u]
[name_u]Levi[/name_u]
[name_m]Silas[/name_m]
[name_u]Asher[/name_u]
[name_u]Beckett[/name_u]
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites for you would be [name_u]Theo[/name_u], [name_u]Everett[/name_u], [name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u], [name_m]Lucas[/name_m], or [name_u]Tate[/name_u]! [name_u]Happy[/name_u] naming!
I think [name_m]Clark[/name_m] goes nicely with both [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]. It’s classic, but also has last name vibes - just like [name_u]Jackson[/name_u].
[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! We sometimes call [name_u]Jackson[/name_u], [name_m]Jax[/name_m] instead. I love the names that you came up with.
To clarify, I don’t think [name_u]Parker[/name_u] and [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] are particularly traditional sounding names but I brought those names up because they seemed to have a nice flow with [name_u]Jackson[/name_u]. I do not want to name the twins [name_u]Parker[/name_u] and [name_u]Hudson[/name_u].
I wanted to come up with a different, classic version with an equally nice flow.
I don’t have to use the name [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] but that is the only one our family came up with so far. I thought that it didn’t sound too bad alongside [name_u]Jackson[/name_u].
I think [name_u]Henry[/name_u] and [name_u]William[/name_u] sound cute too!
You are correct! I was talking with my friend and we both remarked that [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] had the US president vibe. Lol. [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] [name_u]Jackson[/name_u] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Roosevelt[/name_m].
I figured if we chose [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], we would probably use the nickname [name_u]Theo[/name_u] anyway.
I did think of [name_u]Franklin[/name_u] but I thought it might be a bit too much…I’m starting to like [name_u]William[/name_u], [name_u]Henry[/name_u], and [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u]!
[name_u]Jackson[/name_u], [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
[name_u]Jackson[/name_u], [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_u]Jackson[/name_u], [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_u]Oliver[/name_u]
[name_u]Jackson[/name_u], [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u]
[name_u]Jackson[/name_u], [name_u]Miles[/name_u] [name_u]Oliver[/name_u] and [name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_u]Jackson[/name_u], [name_u]Miles[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_u]Henry[/name_u] [name_u]Arthur[/name_u]
[name_u]Jackson[/name_u], [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u] [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u]
