I’m not pregnant but my husband and I are TTC our third child. I am a name nut and already have a limited taste of names, and now it may have gotten more extreme! A friend asked me if I was going to use the “12 letter rule” for our next child. I had never realized both my son and daughter have 12 letters when you combine ther first and middle names. This normally wouldn’t matter to me, but since my third will likely be my last I’m thinking I should really try for 12… AHH! WDYT?
*Also, to honor a family member we thought of using [name]Margaret[/name] as a MN if we have a girl. This would only leave me 4 letters for the first name! Ha, any idead? Preferably Irish?
What are your other children’s names? That would help a lot. Also, you can use [name]Margot[/name] instead of Maragret. But lets try out [name]Margaret[/name]… there are lots of pretty possibilities.
You don’t have to continue the pattern… I would never think to count the number of letters in somebody else’s child’s name… lol. I do like the previous suggestions of [name]Mary[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] and [name]Emma[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]
if it’s firsts and middles, I wouldn’t stress too much about it, if the combo you love has 13 letters - use it. Depending on what your childrens names are too, might make a difference on whether or not you go for it. For instance, if you had a [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Ari[/name] & [name]Elisabeth[/name] [name]Ann[/name], something short might not ‘fit’ iykwim.
[name]Nora[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] is my suggestion.
It REALLY doesn’t matter. My two sisters: one has 15 letters, the other has 14. I have 8. My other sister has 11. [name]Just[/name] choose the name you love
