My baby, [name]Jax[/name] (a nickname for [name]John[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]) was born in [name]September[/name], and already I am fantasizing about sibling names for him. Here is my current list. Please let me know what you think! Some of these names are family names of people I would like to honour
boys:
[name]Xavier[/name] [name]Micheal[/name] ([name]Micheal[/name] is a family name)
[name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Soren[/name] (a way to honour a [name]Jonathan[/name] in the family)
[name]Samuel[/name] ? (not sure of mn to go with [name]Samuel[/name], or [name]Felix[/name])
[name]Felix[/name] ?
[name]Carsten[/name] ?
girls:
[name]Eliana[/name] [name]Bronwen[/name] ([name]Bronwen[/name] is the name my DH was supposed to be called if he were to be a girl. My [name]MIL[/name] never had a daughter, just boys, so this would be a way to honour her… since I’m not fond of her given name)
[name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Rosina[/name] ([name]Rosina[/name] is a family name)
[name]Kathryn[/name] ?
[name]Anastasia[/name] or [name]Anniki[/name] or [name]Annika[/name] (DH really likes the nn [name]Anya[/name] for any of these names)
[name]Beatrix[/name] ?
We are NOT planning on having 11 kids… but there are so many cool/pretty names out there!
Let me know what you think of these names & whether any of them clash with [name]Jax[/name].
Thanks!
I really like [name]Annika[/name] [name]Bronwen[/name] (I think [name]Eliana[/name] is too soft with [name]Bronwen[/name], gets very mushy). And I know how much honoring a mother in this way can mean. My cousin was named [name]Cynthia[/name] because that’s the name my grandmother always wanted to use for a daughter and never had a chance to. It really touched her!
Ooo I like the idea of following the nn pattern. [name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Edward[/name] is a nice combo too. Thanks for the suggestion. I’m glad my [name]MIL[/name] has good taste in names
i like michael/micheal as a family namesake middle name. my first’s middle name will be named after a michael as well. i like nathaniel ([name]LOVE[/name] the nickname nate), samuel (well mainly sam), & carsten (& the nickname cas).
i do like bronwen a lot & think that would be very honoring to use that name ‘for her.’ i also like elizabeth, anastasia, & annika.
i like the idea of having more classic given names (ie john alexander) with a funky nickname. you could even have sal or thane for samuel & nathaniel. i think izzy is adorable for elizabeth.
