I’ve recently fallen deeply in love with the name [name]Virginia[/name], which is odd since she doesn’t fit in with my usual style AT ALL!
This poses a problem since I usually group names together in what their siblings would be ([name]Eulalie[/name] and [name]Twyla[/name] would be sisters, but not [name]Eulalie[/name] and [name]Annora[/name])
I’m having a hard time finding sisters and brothers for [name]Virginia[/name]!!
Could you lovely name enthusiasts help me out a bit, please?
And also, what do you think of the name [name]Virginia[/name]?
I love [name]Virginia[/name] nn [name]Ginger[/name]. Can’t help myself.

My [name]MIL[/name] is named [name]Virginia[/name], nn [name]Ginger[/name] her entire life. She was one of 11 siblings…

[name]Ruth[/name]
[name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Mary[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
[name]Trudy[/name]
[name]Mary[/name]
Awesome! Could you tell me what her brothers were named?
I’m loving all the suggestions, thank you! I didn’t think of [name]Constance[/name], silly me… I love [name]Constance[/name]! And a whole lot of the other suggestions, [name]Primrose[/name] in particular, but I’ll go through them all more thoroughly and save the best in my mental [name]Virginia[/name] file ^^
I’m not too fond of the [name]Ginger[/name] nickname, though, I much prefer [name]Ginny[/name]…
[name]How[/name] about some boy names to go with all these lovely ladies?
That would be very much appreciated!

I love the name [name]Constance[/name], and I have been forgetting about it.
Boys’ names to go with [name]Virginia[/name]:
Well, [name]George[/name] of course since [name]George[/name] [name]Washington[/name] was from [name]Virginia[/name].
[name]Albert[/name]
[name]Charles[/name]
[name]Chester[/name]
[name]Edward[/name]
[name]Frank[/name]
[name]George[/name] - had to put it in twice
[name]Grant[/name]
[name]Henry[/name]
[name]James[/name]
[name]John[/name]
[name]Lawrence[/name]
[name]Miles[/name]
[name]Nathaniel[/name]
[name]Peter[/name]
[name]Philip[/name]
[name]Richard[/name]
[name]Robert[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name]
[name]Thomas[/name]
[name]William[/name]
The [name]Virginia[/name] we know has a brother named [name]Anthony[/name] and a sister named [name]Lisa[/name]. I don’t think any of those names go together.
Wow, I just noticed that my list is really different from [name]Elea[/name]'s. Mine is kind of proper [name]Early[/name] American and hers is more fun and vintage. It’s funny how we can have such different views of the same name.
For me, [name]Constance[/name] feels really [name]Early[/name] American, too. I love the [name]Early[/name] American style. I think it’s really warm and woodsy and cozy. It’s how I decorate my house, but I call the way I decorate angry country because it isn’t cutesy.
I actually know two girls named [name]Virginia[/name]! One is 20 and goes by [name]Virginia[/name], and the other is 18 and goes by [name]Ginny[/name]. The twenty-year-old has siblings [name]Hope[/name] and [name]Peter[/name], and the eighteen-year-old has a brother, [name]Charles[/name] (called [name]Charlie[/name]).
I’m going to have to disagree with the masses on this poll and tell you I absolutely hate the nickname [name]Ginger[/name] - it seems incredibly dated to me. However, I do think that [name]Ginny[/name] (especially since the [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] series) is a fresh, cute nickname option.
Here are some sibling names I’d suggest for [name]Virginia[/name]:
Many of these would make beautiful middle names, too!
[name]Do[/name] any of these fit what you were looking for? My favorites are [name]Virginia[/name], [name]Caroline[/name], and [name]Adrian[/name], personally.
I adore [name]Virginia[/name]! I’ve always hooked [name]Lavinia[/name] with [name]Virginia[/name], they sound so similar yet they are different. I also like [name]Araminta[/name] with those.
