Would really like to hear your thoughts on giving siblings names beginning with the same letter. Currently searching for a name for baby #2, a girl arriving in [name_f]April[/name_f]. First born is [name_m]Ronin[/name_m], and I’m really struggling to find a name we both love, but feeling drawn to other R names. My concern is, if we have a third child, we will either feel pigeon holed into another R name, or one child will be left out. Also, concerned that repeating initials will seem silly or cheesy. Wdyt?
I think it is really sweet and cute when siblings names all start with the same letter!
Yeah I’m not a fan.
[name_m]Ah[/name_m], people overthink this. My brother and I have the same initial, my sister and other brother have different initials. There’s nothing to worry about, especially if it’s a common initial (A, J, M etc.) I’d only watch out for Q & X type names as they’re less common - that might make it feel matchy-matchy.
I wouldn’t go out of my way to either repeat or avoid repeating initials for my kids.
I think two “R” names would be just fine, and wouldn’t mean anything one way or the other for a possible third.
Have you ever read swistle’s baby name advice? She always says it’s not a pattern unless you repeat it with three children.
I don’t think it matters at all
