[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like The [name_f]Siena[/name_f] spelling or the [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] spelling? [name_f]Siena[/name_f] is the spelling of the Italian place, but [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] is the more popular spelling… What are the most relevant pros and cons and which do you think is better to name a child??
I prefer the traditional spelling of [name_f]Siena[/name_f] simply because it makes sense to most of the world especially if she is one day living or traveling in Europe. Also because it is a “place” name I don’t see the point in changing it from the original spelling.
Can’t think of any other pros/cons and what ever spelling you choose it is a beautiful name!
I really love it and I was strongly considering it for this baby (would definitely spell it [name_f]Siena[/name_f]) but it just seems to be too common in Australia at the moment so am looking at other options.
I’m really split on the spelling. I think [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] looks more appealing (I love [name_f]Enna[/name_f]), but [name_f]Siena[/name_f] is the actual place name. I think I’d go for [name_f]Sienna[/name_f], because my old school had [name_f]Siena[/name_f] in the title, and it kind of feels odd to have a baby with the same name (weird I know, but it would probably bug me). But you can’t really go wrong either way.
I prefer [name_f]Siena[/name_f] myself…there’s really no need for that second n in my opinion. It looks cleaner and neater with the single n.
