We already have a sienna rose and expecting another little girl. I love the name sophia grace however do you think the names are way too similar?
Any other suggestions welcome! Thanks!
Are you pronouncing [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] “So-PHY-ah” or “So-[name_u]FEE[/name_u]-ah?” (both are correct, just different eras/areas/accents)
Either way, I think they make a nice sibset!
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is pretty popular at the moment (not a bad thing, but some people like to keep away from popular names). If you like [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], but want something slightly different, you could go with:
Sophonia
Sophonisba (Noblewoman from Carthage know for her charm and integrity - celebrated figure in poetry and art)
[name_u]Sage[/name_u] (same meaning ‘wisdom’, but a bit more modern)
[name_f]Vivica[/name_f] (means vital wisdom)
Congrats!!
Sorry, they are too close for my likes.
I personally don’t think the names are too close. Although written down they look quite similar but that is probably mostly due to the fact that they both start with an S. I think [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] each have their own distinct sound. And if the similarity bothers you, you can always give [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] a nickname. [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] are lovely name by the way!
I think they work just fine Though I do think you would be tied to using S names in the future though
The similarities are the first and last letter, which actually account for a lot. But if you love [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], go with [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]. Might I suggest [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]? [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] are very distinct, even if used as a nickname.
They’re too similar for me.
I think they are way too close. I’m also just not a fan of [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] so that might be influencing me.
While [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] & [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] are both pretty names, together I think they are a bit too close. I adore the suggestion of [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] though! [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is beautiful too. I like that [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is a bit less popular than [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], so is closer to [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] that way. Also, I’ve always preferred [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] to [name_f]Sophia[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is just too popular compared to the unique [name_f]Sienna[/name_f]. [name_m]How[/name_m] about instead:
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is way too close. [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is no better, imo. The bigger problem is that [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] is a more unique name that [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]/[name_f]Sophia[/name_f], which is a runaway hit.
I like the suggestions above of [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] and [name_f]Willow[/name_f].
Some of these may not fit with the mn [name_f]Grace[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] and [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] are fine together. If you like [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] use [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]. I do also like the suggestion of using [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] either on it’s own or as a nick name
