I really like the name Auslynn for a little girl but I’m getting hung up on the nickname which I think would be a deal breaker for using it or not.
Naturally, I like [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m], which makes sense out loud. On paper, I think the natural shortening would be Aussie, but I am not sure if that spelling is appropriate. Does anyone see any major issues one way or the other.
Would it be too confusing to spell it [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m]? Is Aussie problematic?
I don’t like the full spelling Ozlynn, just for reference.
I don’t think [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m] would be too confusing since the sounds are there. You might have to blatantly tell people it’s short for Auslynn, but I don’t think it’d be too troublesome. Some alternatives are Ausi, Aussy, and Aussi.
i think if u believe ozzy is too different than auslynn then u should go with aussy! it’s more gentle and so unique! “aussie” would look like someone from australia of course and “aussi” if the french word for “also.” i also love how it keeps the “aus” and auslynn is a divine name!
Would something like Auzzy work?
i personally think the double z is a little much and it looks too trendy and modern. the double s really gives it a softer, warmer touch
Ozzy is a cute nickname said aloud but I’m not sure it makes sense when it is written. Similar ideas you may like:

I like the suggestion of Ausi :)) but I think [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m] as a nickname for Auslynn is totally fine too. People sometimes shorten [name_u]Austin[/name_u] to [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m].
I think the [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m] spelling works. Kind of like [name_f]Kitty[/name_f] for [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
I think [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m] could work, after all it wouldn’t be ‘legal’ name so you can spell it however you want to! However Aussy or Ausy would be the way I personally would shorten it.
I think that [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m] works! I also csnt really see a reason how Aussie might be problematic, it just makes me think of how us Australians shorten Australia (to Aussie/Aus!) If im missing anything though, let me know!
I also like the suggestions of Ausie and Ausi, I think those also work fine
It wouldn’t be problematic, I don’t think. [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m] would be the most logical one. Maybe Ausy?
I don’t think it would be confusing to spell it as [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m], we don’t write nicknames often anyway.
I’d find the Aussie spelling a bit odd tbh
I think [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m] makes sense even though it’s spelled Auslynn, if you wanted it spelled that way. Aussie would be a little odd, but I don’t think it’d be so odd that it couldn’t be used as a nickname.
You could spell it Ocelynn like [name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f] without the J. Then [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m] works a little better.
