Is the name [name]Siri[/name] usable, or did [name]Apple[/name] ruin it? Would people forever be asking me “[name]Siri[/name], like the iPhone app?” or even “siri…like [name]Tom[/name] [name]Cruise[/name]'s kid?” (even though she is [name]Suri[/name], not [name]Siri[/name])

It would always make me think IPhone, but I don’t mind it and think it’s worlds better than super trendy and other atrocious counter parts I’ve seen before.
I wouldn’t use it right now…
But it probably won’t be relevant in 5 years.
I just wouldn’t want to spend my child’s babyhood listening to iphone jokes & having people ‘ask [name]Siri[/name]’ stuff…to me it’s just not something I would want to deal with…but if it was my favorite name in the world I might go for it I guess.

I know a [name]Siri[/name], she’s Thai and in her 30s. [name]Siri[/name] is a name in southern [name]Asia[/name], eastern [name]Africa[/name], and Scandinavia. Unfortunately if you used [name]Siri[/name] now (and your child isn’t [name]Asian[/name]/African/Scandinavian) people will assume you named her after the phone
[name]Siri[/name] has kind of been ruined by [name]Apple[/name]. The poor girl would always be teased as the iPhone girl. I’ve heard worse, but I still wouldn’t use it.
That is pretty much what I thought! I don’t have an iPhone and [name]Siri[/name] was one of my front runners until I was made aware of it. I kind of dropped it off my list but was entertaining putting it back on, but I really don’t think we will…sounds like it could definitely be an issue!

[name]Siri[/name] was on my list about 10 years ago but the app made me pretty sure it’s never going back on.
I know two people named [name]Siri[/name], one is around 20 and the other is around 4. I just think of them when I hear it. However, I can understand that most people would think of an iPhone. So sad because it’s such a fun and cute name!
No offense, but I think [name]Siri[/name] now belongs to [name]Apple[/name] due to the iPhone app
if your asian it’s alright to use but if your not i’d think about apple or tom cruise it’s just my thoughts though
