My husband and I are expecting. We have a boy name picked out but we are working on a girl name to go with our first daughter [name]Annabelle[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. Our daughter’s name has family meaning in her names and I think we want to have the initials E.J. in honor of a family member for our next child (if it is a girl). What do you think of the names and what name combinations do you think go well with [name]Annabelle[/name] [name]Rose[/name]?
First Name Options
[name]Eva[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Emilia[/name]
[name]Elisabeth[/name]
[name]Eloise[/name]
[name]Eden[/name]
Middle Name Options
[name]Joy[/name]
[name]Jocelyn[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Jane[/name]
[name]Johanna[/name]
[name]Jonquil[/name]
[name]Juniper[/name]
[name]Annabelle[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is very pretty. You seem to like the “el” sound in your girls names ([name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Elisabeth[/name], [name]Eloise[/name]). Here are the name combos I like with [name]Annabelle[/name].
My favorite would have to be [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Jane[/name], followed by [name]Elisabeth[/name] [name]Jane[/name]. I also love [name]Joy[/name]. [name]Eva[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] sounds lovely too.
I think I really like [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Jane[/name], [name]Eva[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Joy[/name].
I love [name]Elisabeth[/name] [name]Joy[/name] but I don’t know if that is too plain and common with [name]Annabelle[/name].
Is [name]Eva[/name] too short with [name]Annabelle[/name]?
I like the idea of continuing the flower theme, but I don’t know if I could actually give [name]Jonquil[/name] as a middle name, even though I like it in theory. I like it with [name]Elisabeth[/name] and [name]Eva[/name].
Is [name]Eloise[/name] to unusual of a name to use?
Sorry for so many thoughts. I thought naming the first child was hard enough, but now with a second I feel like I have to pick a name that is just as good. So much pressure…
I really like the symmetry of using a name that has the same number of syllables as your first daughter’s, so i would choose one of the following:
[name]Eloise[/name] [name]Joy[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Joy[/name]
[name]Eloise[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
I really like the name [name]Eloise[/name]. I think it has a similar feel to [name]Annabelle[/name] -pretty & feminine, yet spunky & fun. It goes well with the mn [name]Joy[/name].
I have a soft spot for the name [name]Eleanor[/name] since it’s my mom’s name… but it’s more traditional & serious. [name]Eleanor[/name] goes best with [name]Jane[/name] imo.
However, you have a very nice list of names -especially the E names. You can’t go wrong with any one of them. [name]Jonquil[/name] is a really pretty name too -I love daffodils. but how do you pronounce this in English? In French it’s very pretty, but in English would people say jonkill? If so… ick !!!
[name]Eleanor[/name] and [name]Elisabeth[/name] are my favorites from your list. I like [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Jane[/name] with [name]Annabelle[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are classic names with a similar rythm.
[name]Just[/name] a side note, I absolutely [name]ADORE[/name] [name]Juniper[/name]. I just don’t think it follows the same style and flow.
