DH and I are TTC #2 and we are hoping for a girl but also a bit stuck on names. Looking to compile a list or find “the one.” Our son’s name is [name_m]Apollo[/name_m]. To give an idea of names we like, we wanted a name that we considered “strong yet romantic” for our son, and we want to carry that idea for a female.
I am not a fan of super frilly girl’s names, and I don’t like any of the belle/bella name variations.
Names we like are:
[name_u]Artemis[/name_u] (like but since our son is [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] it just seems to “kitchy” to use)

[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Corisande[/name_f] (recent addition)

I really like [name_f]Astrid[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_f]Cressida[/name_f]! [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] is nice too, but a bit unusable but the looks of things. [name_f]Corisande[/name_f] and [name_f]Phaedra[/name_f] are alright too.
Your list is definitely strong yet romantic! But I agree that [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] feels very theme-y. With [name_m]Apollo[/name_m], I think my favorite is [name_f]Cressida[/name_f]. But I like them all.
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] with [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] and second the suggestion of [name_f]Isolde[/name_f]. Other ideas:

[name_m]Don[/name_m]'t use [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] or [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]…[name_u]Artemis[/name_u] and [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] were siblings…and [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] rapes [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] in mythology until a god turns [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] into a [name_f]Laurel[/name_f] tree to stop [name_m]Apollo[/name_m]…a pretty well known myth for lots of people so not the best association!
I’m surprised that no one has suggested [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] yet! I think [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] and [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] sound great together!
I like [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] and [name_f]Phaedra[/name_f] best with [name_m]Apollo[/name_m]. (I agree that [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] is a bit too theme-y.)
I really like other people’s suggestions of [name_f]Cassia[/name_f], [name_f]Lyra[/name_f], [name_f]Rhea[/name_f] (still has the mythology theme but a bit more removed), [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], and [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f].
