Sister for Clementine Alice

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]!

We are still looking for a name for DD2 who will be a sister for [name_f]Clementine[/name_f].
We really liked [name_f]Violette[/name_f] but have decided that it really is too theme-y, especially as we would like more children in the future.
The frontrunners at the moment are [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] (though there are SO many around at the moment) and [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] (I know of only one other, from baby group, she’s a few months old).
We also like [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], though aren’t in love with either of them and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], but it would have the same problem as with [name_f]Violette[/name_f] (too themed).

[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]… too much of a mouthful?
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelie[/name_f]… [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] too popular?

Or any other suggestions?! Thank you

I don’t get how [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Violette[/name_f] are themed–they are gorgeous together! Also [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_f]Francesca[/name_f], [name_f]Arielle[/name_f], [name_f]Briony[/name_f], [name_f]Laetitia[/name_f], [name_f]Isolde[/name_f].

A clementine is well known as an orange, but it’s also a flower.

Fruit and a flower - we had comments from every family member and friend we mentioned it to!

My favorite by far is [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] I can never say right, because I start off saying it like I would say “[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]” and then get to the end and realize that’s wrong… [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] I can never get behind. I read a book as a child about a mother who was terribly abusive to her daughter… her name was [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]. I can never shake that association now. [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]… all the [[name_f]Rose[/name_f]]ish names are nms, and remind me of twilight.
My second favorite was [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] (maybe we just have somewhat opposite naming styles? lol)
I would suggest [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], or [name_f]Emaline[/name_f].

**EDT to add: what about [name_f]Collette[/name_f] or [name_f]Nicolette[/name_f]?

What about:

[name_f]Arabella[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f]
[name_f]Harlow[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilian[/name_f]
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f]

Good luck!

I think [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Anabel[/name_f] are a fine set. Both have a southern, frilly, spunky feel. Great choice!
I agree that [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]/ie is too popular right now.

My favourite with [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] would be - Cecille/[name_f]Camille[/name_f] (if you don’t mind the same initial letter), [name_f]Mirabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Esme[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f], [name_f]Delphine[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanore[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f].

I dislike [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] due to it’s popularity and because of the film I would worry it will date a child too much,
I love [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] but prefer the less popular [name_f]Mirabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] is always an option too.

It’s a shame you’ve ruled out [name_f]Violette[/name_f] as although not my taste I love [name_f]Flora[/name_f] and [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] and would choose either in a heartbeat.

Good luck.

I love [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f]! [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] is my favorite from your list. It has the playful vintage vibe that [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] has. I would suggest:

[name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]

[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is so chic! I think [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] fits wonderfully with [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] as they’re both spunky and chic. [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] is gaining popularity - I know two people who just named their daughters this. It’s a gorgeous name, but maybe… [name_f]Elodie[/name_f]? I’m not so thrilled with [name_f]Amelie[/name_f]…

[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]

[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] (I personally don’t think [name_f]Violet[/name_f] in the middle name spot is a big deal?)

Resurrecting this thread to say thanks to everyone for all your advice. We ended up naming her [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Clara[/name_f]!

Of your name list, I love [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]! [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is nice also.

Suggestions…
