I love [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] (although more so [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]) with [name_f]Margot[/name_f] on your list. I also love the previous suggestion of [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f].
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is my favorite from your list, though [name_f]Margot[/name_f] comes from [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] can be a nickname for both names. I’m not sure how many people would think of that though. I also like the previous suggestions of [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Lila[/name_f].
Thanks for the feedback so far…Phoebe is used in the family already so that’s a no go. Of the names suggested I like [name_f]Nina[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] but I am not sure they are 100% us.
I have had the same concerns of [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] having the same origin but maybe I am overthinking it?!
I love your list! I like [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] together but I think all of them will work. I had the same thought about [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] but it’s not a huge deal, I doubt that many people will know their connection.
Of your list, I prefer [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f]. I would add in [name_f]Violet[/name_f] as a suggestion only because it just struck me as I clicked and waited for it to load
Secondly, I’m not sure these names match with [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] is very old-timey Southern, [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is very hipster, [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] has a troubled history, and I just don’t like the name [name_f]Winifred[/name_f]. [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is more classic-[name_m]French[/name_m] than these names. [name_m]How[/name_m] about…
I absolutely love [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] together! They seem perfect together. It’s definitely my favorite from your list.
Thank you all for your thoughts and congratulations- we are very excited!
Family names we can’t use (as they have been taken) but maybe for a mn include-
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eva[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f]/[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Camille[/name_f]
[name_f]Emilie[/name_f]/[name_f]Emily[/name_f]
We are Australian so [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] doesn’t have the “southern” connotations here nor do people think of pancakes with [name_f]Jemima[/name_f]! However I am still looking for suggestions as we are not 100% sold on on name just yet!
I think we can rule [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] out as it’s too similar too [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and I am worried it is going to become too popular we don’t want a top 10 name.
Any other thoughts? I do love Dulcie but my DH isn’t convinced!
Thank you ! I love your name list…what are your thoughts on [name_f]Dulcie[/name_f]? I don’t know if I just like it because it has positive personal connections for me. [name_f]TIA[/name_f]…
I like both [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] & [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] from your list, & pps suggestions of [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], & [name_f]Camille[/name_f]… As another poster noted, [name_f]Margot[/name_f] has a sleek [name_m]French[/name_m] vibe, so maybe:
[name_f]Silvie[/name_f]
[name_u]Simone[/name_u]
[name_f]Marine[/name_f] (if you don’t mind the same first initial in the girls’ names)
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_f]Sabine[/name_f]
[name_u]Ren[/name_u]ée
[name_u]Patrice[/name_u]
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Corinne[/name_f]
Cécile
[name_f]Sibyl[/name_f] is a beautiful name. It’s got an old-fashioned feel, but sort of a vintage-chic type of old-fashioned exactly like [name_f]Margot[/name_f].
