Sister for Matthew & Joseph

I am expecting #3! I don’t know if any of you remember me - probably not, it’s been that long and I wasn’t active for a very long time as I just got so busy then baby arrived! But I’m pregnant again, so I am back to search for names

Our sons are [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] [name_u]Cassady[/name_u] & [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] [name_m]Rainer[/name_m]. For now we’re just looking for some first name ideas, we’ll look for middles later on but we do already have some ideas.

Definitely on the list:
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Nora[/name_f]’
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Lottie[/name_f]’
[name_f]Catherine[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Cate[/name_f]’
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]

Names that we’re not 100% sure about:
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] - Am I overthinking it or does it sound a little too close to [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]? I’m not sure why I think that but I do. Also will second guess [name_f]Alice[/name_f] if the royal baby is an [name_f]Alice[/name_f].
[name_f]Abigail[/name_f] - [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the meaning of the name but [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] feels a little boring to me.
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] & [name_f]Emma[/name_f] - SO popular.
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]

Which ones do you like with [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] & [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]? They get [name_u]Matty[/name_u] & [name_m]Joe[/name_m]/[name_u]Joey[/name_u] a lot of the time, if that helps. Any suggestions would be wonderful, too!

Both [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] and [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] are biblical names, is that a theme you want to carry on? If so, I love [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] with them, if not, I still really love [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] with them
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] would fit really well, too. It’d be such a timeless sibset. I don’t think [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is too close to [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] at all. [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] would be lovely as well. [name_m]Ah[/name_m], I really like all of your “definitely” names with [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] and [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]!
You already have all my suggestions on your list, so I’m sort of useless.

I like [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I like the others too, but the nicknames ruin them for me.

I really like [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] – really great, sturdy classics. I also don’t think [name_f]Alice[/name_f] sounds close to [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] at all haha, but I would understand the reconsider if the royal baby ends up an [name_f]Alice[/name_f]. I also agree with your hesitation over [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Emily[/name_f], and would maybe be hesitant about [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Cate[/name_f] for the same reason (there are just a lot of them out there). I’ve also never liked the name [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]. [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is really cute – if nothing else, could make a great middle. [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] is an adorable nn for [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f].

I’m also going to suggest [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] because you seem to dig classic-but-not-boring 3 syllable names

I like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] the best from your list- they all fit perfectly!

Some other suggestions:
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Isobel[/name_f] or [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] with [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] and [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]. I don’t think you nee to worry about not using [name_f]Alice[/name_f] or [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] if the [name_f]Princess[/name_f] is called that. Your little girl isn’t due for five months afterwards, and she will probably like sharing a name with a princess.

From your list Eleanor, I knew a Dutch woman who gravitated between Elinore (various spellings are great) to Noortje (Noor) nn
but the Biblical associations jump out at me. Rebecca or Rachel were my first thought but perhaps not your style.

Apologies -Double post

I like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] & [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] best with [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] & [name_m]Joseph[/name_m].
