Sister for Phoebe

Trying to come up with a name for Phoebe’s little sister. My husband likes London, and while I think it’s cute, I don’t think it pairs well with Phoebe at all. I like Violet and Clara, but my husband does not. Another thought I had was Annabel, but he’s lukewarm on the name. Any suggestions? I want something cute, quirky, and timeless. Oh, and she has a brother named Beckett.

[name]Phoebe[/name] and…
[name]Stella[/name]
[name]Olive[/name]
[name]Iris[/name]
[name]Tessa[/name]
[name]Willa[/name]
[name]Delia[/name]

[name]Daphne[/name] (my first thought, but maybe too matchy?)
[name]Elena[/name]
[name]Opal[/name]
[name]Annora[/name]
[name]Rosamund[/name]
[name]Ramona[/name]
[name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Helena[/name]
[name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Imogen[/name]

I’m not a fan of [name]London[/name]; it definitely has a trendy vibe to me, despite being an ancient city!

[name]Phoebe[/name] is a real classic. I definitely second the suggestion of [name]Iris[/name]; you’ve got very different sounds, yet both are Greek in origin.

[name]How[/name] about other Greek names:
[name]Hyacinth[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name] (too matchy?)
[name]Delphine[/name]/[name]Delphina[/name]/[name]Delphinia[/name]

Shakespearean ladies ([name]Phoebe[/name], spelled [name]Phebe[/name], is a character in As you Like It):
[name]Rosalind[/name]/[name]Rosaline[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Celia[/name]
[name]Helena[/name]
[name]Viola[/name]
[name]Imogen[/name]
[name]Nerissa[/name]
[name]Miranda[/name]
[name]Silvia[/name]
[name]Valentine[/name]

Or names that were popular in 18th century literature ([name]Phoebe[/name] fits this category too):
[name]Clarissa[/name]
[name]Pamela[/name]
[name]Romola[/name]
[name]Cecelia[/name]
[name]Evelina[/name]
[name]Camilla[/name]
[name]Elberta[/name]

Other thoughts:
[name]Mabel[/name]: quirky and cute with [name]Phoebe[/name]
Annabet: a form of Annabeth and a different spin on [name]Annabel[/name]
Betsan: Welsh variant of [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Ida[/name]: Soft but definitely quirky in my book
[name]Tamsin[/name]: Quirky and spunky

Some may be repeats…

[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Rosalind[/name]
[name]Scarlett[/name]
[name]Lucy[/name]
[name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Cora[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Ruby[/name]
[name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Molly[/name]
[name]Stella[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Cordelia[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Cecily[/name]
[name]Adelaide[/name]

[name]Daphne[/name] was my first thought as I read the title of this thread. Other thoughts for cute, quirky, timeless:

[name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Ophelia[/name] (maybe too much -ph)
[name]Ivy[/name]
[name]Daisy[/name]
[name]Maia[/name] (though [name]Maya[/name] is more popular :/) / [name]May[/name]
[name]Cordelia[/name]
[name]Olivia[/name] (a little too common to be quirky) / [name]Olive[/name]
[name]Portia[/name]
[name]Georgia[/name]
[name]Charity[/name]
[name]Coral[/name] (I love this with [name]Phoebe[/name] <3) / Cora
Lucy
Octavia
Drusilla
Lila
Hazel
Alice
Lydia (could appeal to your husband since it has similar sounds to London, and fits the characteristics that you listed- and Liddie is cute for a nickname)
Juliet
Claudia
Eloise
Elsa
Zinnia
Laurel
Celeste
Corinne
Isadora
Sylvia

Sorry for repeats, but any should reaffirm that they sound like sisters.

[name]Tessa[/name] & [name]Willa[/name] are cute!

I like [name]Daphne[/name], but not completely sold on it. I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Chloe[/name], but I can’t stomach the popularity. [name]Hazel[/name] is one I’ve thought about too. [name]Imogen[/name] is on my list but my husband doesn’t like it.

I know what you mean about [name]London[/name] having a “trendy” vibe. To me, [name]London[/name] matches [name]Beckett[/name] with a more modern feel, while [name]Phoebe[/name] has a more classic feel about it. I guess the goal with baby #3 is to marry the two different styles. I like your suggestions of [name]Mabel[/name] & [name]Tamsin[/name]…what do you think about [name]Isla[/name], [name]Clio[/name], or [name]Grace[/name]? And thank you for all of your thoughtful suggestions!

Thank you for your ideas! I really like [name]Cora[/name], [name]Molly[/name], & [name]Ruby[/name], but I am thinking [name]Ruby[/name] and [name]Phoebe[/name] might be a bit too close. [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Adelaide[/name] are on my husband’s list

I suggested [name]Maia[/name] to my husband and he shot it down…but it’s so cute! I also really like [name]Portia[/name], but I hate the meaning. [name]Lydia[/name] is a nice idea – that’s the name of the friend who introduced us 17 years ago!

[name]Beckett[/name], [name]Phoebe[/name] and

[name]Abigail[/name]
[name]Ada[/name]
[name]Julia[/name]
[name]Lucia[/name]
[name]Anneliese[/name]
[name]Harriet[/name]
[name]Eden[/name]
[name]Gemma[/name]
[name]Keira[/name]
[name]Cara[/name]
