I’m looking for girl names to go with my son’s [name_m]Roderick[/name_m] “[name_m]Roddy[/name_m]” and [name_u]Harry[/name_u].
DH and I love [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] so far. But I also love [name_f]Jubilee[/name_f], and recently thought of [name_u]Willoughby[/name_u] (boy name usually, but I find it’s unisex enough).
Thoughts? Any ideas? MN will be [name_f]Sherrie[/name_f] [name_f]Lynda[/name_f] or [name_f]Lynda[/name_f] [name_f]Sherrie[/name_f] after our mothers.
Roddy & [name_u]Harry[/name_u] are cute! I think that a little [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] (maybe nn [name_f]Millie[/name_f]?) would be perfect for a little sister. [name_f]Jubilee[/name_f] is okay. It’s more unique, which is fun. I don’t care for [name_u]Willoughby[/name_u] much. It’s just a bit tricky to spell & sounds almost goofy.
Here are a few more suggestions-
Alice
Beatrice nn [name_f]Bea[/name_f] or [name_f]Bess[/name_f]
Beatrix nn [name_f]Bea[/name_f] or [name_f]Bess[/name_f]
Cecily
Daisy
Daphne
Eloise nn [name_f]Lulu[/name_f]
Georgia nn [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] or [name_f]Gigi[/name_f]
June nn [name_f]Junie[/name_f]
Kit/Kitty-maybe as a nn for [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] or [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]

Lucille nn [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
Louise nn [name_f]Lulu[/name_f]
Magnolia nn [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] or [name_f]Mally[/name_f]

Phoebe
Penelope nn [name_u]Penny[/name_u], [name_f]Polly[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] or [name_f]Nellie[/name_f]
Tessa nn [name_f]Tess[/name_f]
Thea
Violet
Willa
Wilhelmina nn [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], [name_f]Minnie[/name_f] or [name_f]Mina[/name_f]
I think [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] nn [name_f]Millie[/name_f] or [name_f]Tilda[/name_f] sound great with [name_m]Roddy[/name_m] and [name_u]Harry[/name_u], also with the middle names you’ve picked.
Thanks guys!
[name_f]My[/name_f] mom passed away of cancer last year so I want to include it in some way in the middles. If the two middles don’t sound right I could combine them to [name_f]Sherilyn[/name_f] or [name_f]Sharon[/name_f].
I love:
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Diana[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]Johanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]
Both [name_m]Roderick[/name_m] & [name_u]Harry[/name_u] have a proper vintage flair so I think [name_f]Jubilee[/name_f] & [name_u]Willoughby[/name_u] sound a bit off with those names maybe too modern. Whereas [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] has a proper vintage flair, feels classic and works perfectly with [name_m]Roderick[/name_m] & [name_u]Harry[/name_u]. [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] is a cute nickname for [name_f]Matilda[/name_f].
Sherilyn would be a perfect way to combined the two honors if it sounds better to you. Since it’s very meaningful to have your mom’s name in there I would go with whichever way feels more “right” to you regardless of flow.
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Sherilyn[/name_f] is very sweet.
Roderick, [name_u]Harry[/name_u], and [name_f]Leah[/name_f]
[name_m]Roderick[/name_m], [name_u]Harry[/name_u], and [name_f]Helen[/name_f]
[name_m]Roderick[/name_m], [name_u]Harry[/name_u], and [name_f]Laura[/name_f]
[name_m]Roderick[/name_m], [name_u]Harry[/name_u], and [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f]
[name_m]Roderick[/name_m], [name_u]Harry[/name_u], and [name_f]Anna[/name_f]
[name_m]Roderick[/name_m], [name_u]Harry[/name_u], and [name_f]Ivana[/name_f]
[name_m]Roderick[/name_m], [name_u]Harry[/name_u], and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
