I’m hoping to start TTC for #2 some time in the next 12 months or so and I’m already thinking about names…I’m just starting off with girls names for now, and I’ll move on to boys at a later date.
So far my top 3 girls names are [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u], [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Vittoria[/name_f] and [name_f]Acacia[/name_f] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f], because they give me the same soft, romantic and feminine feel that [name_f]Siena[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] does.
Which do you think would fit best as a little sister for [name_f]Siena[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]?
Are there any other names you can think of that fit well and might have the feel that I’m looking for?
With your choices I love [name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] the most (though I prefer [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] to [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]). They both have a lovely flow and sound. [name_f]Jane[/name_f] feels a little plain compared to your current middle name choices other than [name_f]Dawn[/name_f], I wonder if a one-syllable would match better? [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] is very nice.
I think I like [name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] best, personally, although I’m a bit surprised by that, since I had been leaning toward [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Vittoria[/name_f] initially. I think [name_f]Siena[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Vittoria[/name_f] are an excellent match, combo-wise, though!
Initially I was surprised by [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]/[name_f]Natalie[/name_f]/[name_f]Acacia[/name_f], because I wouldn’t have thought to pair them with [name_f]Siena[/name_f]? [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] feel like feminine classics, whilst [name_f]Siena[/name_f] feels exotic and Italian-ey and exudes femininity (not that [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] don’t exude femininity). I am not sure what I would have thought to pair with [name_f]Siena[/name_f], but now that I’ve thought of it, I think [name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] stylistically share the same fiery, spunky, feminine feel. (Minus the Italian with [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], obviously!) Plus, [name_f]Siena[/name_f] feels more modern to me, whilst [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] feel more vintage-classic. [name_f]Acacia[/name_f] feels modern, but also sort of vintage, somehow, and a lot more nature-ey than [name_f]Siena[/name_f] does, to me (not that you can’t pair nature and non-nature names together!)
A few other ideas for names that seem to match the style of [name_f]Siena[/name_f], to me:
[name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Elysia[/name_f] ([name_u]LOVE[/name_u] this!)
[name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Portia[/name_f] (meh, [name_f]Portia[/name_f] is at least centuries old–it was used by [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m]–but somehow I still see [name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Portia[/name_f] working seamlessly for sisters)
[name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] (or [name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Camille[/name_f]?)
[name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Georgina[/name_f] (or [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f])
[name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]/[name_f]Felicia[/name_f]
[name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Valeria[/name_f]
[name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Flor[/name_f] (or [name_f]Fleur[/name_f])
[name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]
[name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]
[name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Liliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Odette[/name_f]
[name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f]/[name_f]Magdalene[/name_f]/[name_f]Magda[/name_f]
[name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Maxima[/name_f]
[name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]
[name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]
I do like [name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] together a lot, though, and [name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Natalie[/name_f]. Your options are truly gorgeous–I just hadn’t initially thought of them as sisters to [name_f]Siena[/name_f]. There’s no reason they couldn’t be, though!
Thanks for all your suggestions! I love [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], although I think [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] fits better stylistically.
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] was one of my favorites when I was pregnant with [name_f]Siena[/name_f], and I think [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] would fit great as a sister for her. But for whatever reason I’m not so keen on [name_f]Marie[/name_f] in the middle spot for [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] anymore…something about it just feels off now, which is a shame.
