[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] with the nn [name_u]Rey[/name_u] is such a lovely name!
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] ([name_f]Effie[/name_f] was my great grandmother and I would use it as a nn) --this is lovely, and the tie-in with the family name I think would make it as special as her sister’s “golden light” meaning
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] --this name is well-loved here on nameberry, but it’s not my favorite on your list. I live in [name_f]France[/name_f] where it has a different pronunciation and is very seldom seen on someone born after the 1950s, and I think that has colored my perception of it. In terms of the meaning, while it’s not quite equal to “[name_u]Golden[/name_u]”, [name_m]Saint[/name_m] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] is also the patron saint of [name_u]Paris[/name_u], which is a pretty cool namesake
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] (would [name_f]Vienna[/name_f] work as a nn?)–I love [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], but don’t really care for [name_f]Vienna[/name_f] as a nickname for it (seems like a full name in its own right at 3 syllables), I like [name_f]Vivi[/name_f], [name_f]Viv[/name_f], and simply [name_f]Vi[/name_f] (Vee). I could see [name_f]Vi[/name_f] and [name_u]Rey[/name_u] going together nicely. [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is a pretty combination as well.
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] I would consider as middles only.) --[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] is one of my favorites, I feel like it’s an underused gem. [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] is less to my taste (maybe in part because I have trouble pronouncing it).
Thank you for your thoughtful response. I love your comment about St. [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]. I guess a name can mean much more than it’s actual meaning. [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is my favorite of those choices but I would prefer not to repeat the [name_f]Lia[/name_f] ending.
