We are expecting our third and are having a hard time deciding on names.
[name_f]My[/name_f] daughter’s names are [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] n [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] n [name_f]Evie[/name_f].
We wanted to keep with the G long name and mostly call them by the nickname(starts with E). Our LN is a short common Chinese surname. Their Chinese name is their middle name.
Here are the names so far
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]. Nn [name_m]Ever[/name_m] - would [name_m]Ever[/name_m] sound weird since it is an adjective?
[name_f]Ginevra[/name_f]. Nn Evra - uncommon name in the US but in the top 10 for [name_f]Italy[/name_f]. NN is also a female birth control . Would it be too hard to pronounce?
[name_f]Geneva[/name_f] NN [name_f]Eva[/name_f] - [name_f]Geneva[/name_f] convention? I don’t like [name_f]Eva[/name_f] as the nickname…

I like the name [name_f]Geneva[/name_f] best but using [name_f]Eva[/name_f] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f] as two different kid’s nicknames would get really confusing I think. [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] with nickname [name_m]Ever[/name_m] sounds the best to me!

Nicknames I couldn’t find g names for that I thought would work well with [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f]: [name_f]Erin[/name_f], [name_f]Elsa[/name_f], and [name_f]Ember[/name_f].
Looking at your list I think [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] + [name_f]Geneva[/name_f] with their proposed nicknames is too similar to Geneviev3 ‘Evi3’ whereas [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] has the most individualistic nickname but feels in my eyes to similar to Geneviev3.
You’ve had lots of lovely suggestions so count any repeats as me being in agreement with the berries
[name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] are beautiful! So are all the other names you’re considering; however, I find all of them too similar to [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] or [name_f]Evie[/name_f], sorry!
I love the suggestion of [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] nn Essie; what about these, as well?

I think there’s a lot of other beautiful G names, and even some that could get you a nn that starts with an E, but I ran into the issue of the fact that almost everything starts and ends the same way as [name_f]Ella[/name_f] (Etta, [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Enna[/name_f], etc.) or [name_f]Evie[/name_f] (Ellie, [name_f]Emmy[/name_f], [name_f]Essie[/name_f], [name_f]Edie[/name_f], [name_f]Effie[/name_f], etc.). I am quite fond of [name_f]Gardenia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Eden[/name_f] or [name_f]Edie[/name_f] with your other girls, though… [name_f]Gardenia[/name_f] is very unexpected, but I think she’s really lovely! Of your options, I think [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] nn [name_m]Ever[/name_m] is my favorite… still too much Ev with [name_f]Evie[/name_f] for me, but I think it’s more distinctive than [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Eva[/name_f] or [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and Evra (I do find Evra intriguing in general, though).
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] & Ginerva are both lovely options! The nicknames seem fine to me too I saw someone suggest [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] nn [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] & I think that’s a gorgeous option.

Second choice [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] but not [name_f]Geneva[/name_f] - both bc it’s a place name unlike the more classical other two daughters’ names and bc [name_f]Eva[/name_f] is too close to [name_f]Evie[/name_f]. [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] might be too close to [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] though and as others have said [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] is as well.
From your list I like Guinevere nn Ever. I think Ginevra could also use the nickname Ever.
