sister name for Sophie

Please help! Im due in 4 weeks and still can’t decide on a name! I have a DD called [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] already. I like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] for a sister but I’m worried it sounds silly with the same ee ending sound. What are people’s opinions on this, am I over thinking it? Any other suggestions that go with [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] would be appreciated! I like the traditional names. thanks!

I like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] together. [name_f]My[/name_f] daughter’s name is [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and if we have another girl we’re thinking about naming her [name_u]Josie[/name_u]. I think if you did [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] with [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] it would be too much, though.

I think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] & [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] sound cute together! I think the names [name_u]Leslie[/name_u], [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] would sound really nice with [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] as well.

I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] are fine. [name_m]Both[/name_m] beautiful names.

I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] are great! I have [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] on my list along with [name_f]Elena[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], and [name_f]Stella[/name_f].

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] sound nice together, I don’t think it would be silly. However, I love [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] with [name_f]Esther[/name_f].

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] & [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] are very sweet! Other names I think sound good with [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] that are similar style are [name_f]Ellen[/name_f]/[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]/[name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Stella[/name_f] or [name_f]Olive[/name_f]/[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Happy[/name_f] naming!

I love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] (my recently deceased grans name) however I personally don’t like the ee sounds together. There are so many beautiful names why not choose another?
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is a lovely suggestion
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Opal[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]

I like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] together and don’t think the -EE ending is too much. If it bothers you though, I’d go with another classic and relatively short name. Some suggestions: [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Ellen[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f].

First off, congratulations! I actually really love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] together, but if the ee sound is really bothering you maybe name her [name_f]Lucille[/name_f], and call her [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] as a nick name?

Other suggestions:
[name_f]Lila[/name_f]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Maya[/name_f]
[name_f]Aria[/name_f]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], it wouldn’t be too much unless you used ie instead of y. But I think [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Lucille[/name_f], and [name_f]Sarah[/name_f], would work great with [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] too.

[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] are gorgeous! [name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] (I have never gone by [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], but that is another story), so I will give you a list of some of the other names my parents considered for my sister ([name_u]Eden[/name_u], middle name [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]) and I:

[name_f]Georgia[/name_f], [name_f]Harriet[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_f]Esther[/name_f], [name_f]Edith[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Lauren[/name_f], [name_f]Laurel[/name_f], [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_f]Avalon[/name_f], [name_f]Philippa[/name_f], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], [name_u]Zooey[/name_u], [name_f]Bianca[/name_f]. I am forgetting some, but these are the names I remember.

thanks guys for your help,

what do you guys think to [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]?

I do like [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] together. However, if you think they are too matchy, [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] make a pretty sibset.

I am not a fan of matchy endings but [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] do go nicely. I’ll list some more ideas in case you need some more inspiration:

[name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [my favourite suggestion for you]
[name_f]Amy[/name_f]
[name_f]Nell[/name_f]

yeah [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is the only name I really like, my husband doesn’t see the issue with the similar ending, I am over thinking every name we come up with! [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is prob guna be the name. [name_f]Do[/name_f] people have different suggestions for middle tho? surname is 3 syllables long so prob need a short name. Help is much appreciated!

[name_f]Rose[/name_f] is quite a filler middle name. I wouldn’t use it unless it has a special meaning for you. Some short names for you:

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Neve[/name_f]/[name_f]Niamh[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]

I do agree with your husband, that you may be over-thinking this. [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] go so well together! For a middle name, how about:

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] or [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]

thank you that’s reassuring!
