Sister suggestions please!

[name]Hi[/name] there!
As with a lot of new users, I’ve been stalking the site for a while without posting myself; but just a few days ago found out I now need some help of my own and knew exactly where to come for advice!
So! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve just found out DH and I are expecting our 3rd, and I’m hoping to get a feel for some possible names to run by him. At the moment with have 2 girls: [name]Philippa[/name] and [name]Rosamund[/name], aka [name]Pippa[/name]/[name]Pip[/name] and [name]Rosa[/name]/[name]Ro[/name]. Like with the girls, we won’t find out the sex until the little bub is here. So, question is, what are some names you think go well for a sister to [name]Pippa[/name] and [name]Rosa[/name]'s names (I’ll post for a brother on the boy’s board)? We like longer names with potential nicknames.

To give you an idea of style, some of them which were on our list for girls names both other times were:

Any feedback welcome! Thanks so much!

First of all, I love your little girls’ names! They’re gorgeous, and their nicknames are fantastic too.

Secondly, off of that, I like:

[name]Georgianna[/name] (prefer [name]Georgiana[/name])

Your style is definitely really defined, and I like that; it makes your names fit together perfectly and easier to suggest for. Anyhow, my suggestions are:

Sylviane/ [name]Sylvianne[/name]/ [name]Sylvaine[/name]
[name]Annabel[/name]/ [name]Annabelle[/name]/ [name]Anabel[/name]
[name]Wilhelmine[/name]/ [name]Wilhelmina[/name]
[name]Louise[/name]/ [name]Louisa[/name]
[name]Catherine[/name]/ [name]Katherine[/name]/ [name]Catharine[/name]/ [name]Katharine[/name]

[name]Hope[/name] that helps!

Thanks for your suggestions! I really like several of them, including [name]Primrose[/name] and [name]Penelope[/name], but we don’t want two P’s in the family! Should have mentioned that part.

DH also vetoed [name]Josephine[/name] (which I was all for as soon as I saw it there!) because even though we don’t call [name]Rosamund[/name] ‘[name]Rosy[/name]/[name]Rosie[/name]’ he didn’t want to risk it because people would probably call [name]Josephine[/name] ‘[name]Josie[/name]’ & which he feels are too close :? . I like [name]Posy[/name] for [name]Josephine[/name] too but then we get the P problem again!!

Of the others, I love [name]Ottoline[/name] and [name]Louisa[/name] too, DH isn’t sold yet but we’ll see! I don’t quite think he could get behind [name]Hortense[/name] or [name]Faustine[/name], but who knows, sometimes he surprises me!

Any other suggestions welcome!! Thanks!

[name]Philippa[/name] and [name]Rosamund[/name] are just beautiful, I love your style. [name]May[/name] I ask what are their middles? [name]Just[/name] so I can get a better idea of your overall naming style.

I think [name]Virginia[/name] and [name]Sylvia[/name] would be perfect with your two girls. [name]Virginia[/name] is my favourite, [name]Ginny[/name] is a very sweet nickname and fits well with [name]Pippa[/name] and [name]Rosa[/name]. I think your two girls’ style suits names that are a little bit fusty, but charmingly so, and with sweet nicknames that make them a lot more wearable for a young girl. Not to mention how sophisticated and dignified they are!

Additionally, I will suggest (sorry for repeats):
[name]Cordelia[/name] “[name]Delia[/name]” or “[name]Cora[/name]”
[name]Henrietta[/name] “[name]Hattie[/name]” or “[name]Etta[/name]”
[name]Beatrice[/name] “[name]Bea[/name]”
[name]Margaret[/name] “[name]Meg[/name]” or “[name]Maggie[/name]” or “[name]Maisie[/name]”
[name]Wilhelmina[/name] “[name]Billie[/name]” or “[name]Mina[/name]”
[name]Louisa[/name] “[name]Lou[/name]”
[name]Augusta[/name] “[name]Gus[/name]”
[name]Leonora[/name] “[name]Nora[/name]” or “[name]Lenny[/name]”
[name]Dorothea[/name] “[name]Dottie[/name]” or “[name]Thea[/name]”

[name]Hope[/name] I’ve helped.

Your other girls’ names are great (though I’m a little biased since my name’s [name]Rosa[/name]) . I love your list, and I think [name]Genevieve[/name], [name]Althea[/name], [name]Sylvia[/name], and [name]Mathilda[/name] go best, though they’re all wonderful. [name]How[/name] about:

I must say, even though [name]Virginia[/name] didn’t make the cut for [name]Pip[/name] or [name]Ro[/name], we are certainly considering it heavily this time around!

[name]Cordelia[/name] is a great option too! I’d never thought of [name]Wilhelmina[/name] as having ‘[name]Billie[/name]’ for a nickname, that’s rather cute…and [name]Mina[/name] is fun! Such good options.

DH also rather liked [name]Susannah[/name], but he wasn’t sure he wanted a [name]Susie[/name] (he’s still worried [name]Rosa[/name] will get called [name]Rosie[/name] and doesn’t want two “ie’s”)…I’d thought we could go with Suze, [name]Sue[/name], or [name]Anna[/name]…but none of them quite caught his eye. Any other nn ideas for that?

Any other suggestions? Thanks so much for all your help!

I’d like to second (or third) [name]Virginia[/name]! [name]Pippa[/name], [name]Rosa[/name] and [name]Ginny[/name] sound really nice. I also liked on your original post the name [name]Bianca[/name]…you could call her [name]Bee[/name] or [name]Bea[/name]?

I think [name]Caroline[/name] is a little too common to go with the other names though, even though I love [name]Caroline[/name]. Actually though, if you called her [name]Lola[/name], that might work? [name]Pippa[/name], [name]Rosa[/name] and [name]Lola[/name]? Although saying them out loud [name]Rosa[/name] and [name]Lola[/name] kind of mush together oddly, so maybe not!

Other options:

[name]Just[/name] to chime in, I think [name]Susannah[/name] would be amazing with your other girls names and my favourite nn’s for it are [name]Sanna[/name], [name]Zanna[/name] or [name]Suki[/name]!

[name]Pippa[/name], [name]Rosa[/name] and [name]Sanna[/name] - so cute! [name]Hope[/name] that helps!

I think [name]Genevieve[/name] is adorable, and the nn [name]Ginny[/name] goes great with [name]Pippa[/name]/[name]Pip[/name] and [name]Rosa[/name].

I would recommend [name]Penelope[/name] ([name]Penny[/name]/[name]Nell[/name]) but you have already stated you don’t want another P or R name.

Also [name]Cordelia[/name]. I particularly love the nn possibilities with this one: [name]Cora[/name], [name]Cori[/name], [name]Cordi[/name], [name]Rory[/name], [name]Delia[/name], [name]Del[/name], [name]Lia[/name] etc
