To preface: I’ve fallen head-over-heels for [name_u]Echo[/name_u] - [name_u]Echo[/name_u] Freyja to be precise.
So I’m wondering what names do you think would ‘go’ well with [name_u]Echo[/name_u]? I’m currently thinking that names that have a nice history/mythology, that are also ‘word’ names too, such as [name_f]Iris[/name_f] ([name_m]Atlas[/name_m] for a boy) might work best?
So my questions to you:
- What do you think of [name_u]Echo[/name_u]?
- What names do you think would work nicely as [name_u]Echo[/name_u]'s siblings?
- My other top name is [name_u]Ariadne[/name_u]? Is that too much…Greek? I’ve also been toying with [name_u]Ariadne[/name_u] [name_u]Echo[/name_u] Freyja as combo too - thoughts?
I think [name_u]Echo[/name_u] Freyja, [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] [name_f]Astraea[/name_f], [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f], [name_f]Noor[/name_f] [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecile[/name_f] [name_f]Georgina[/name_f] would be fitting as siblings (but I don’t believe that siblings names need to match).
I also think [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] [name_u]Echo[/name_u] Freyja sounds nice, but I prefer [name_u]Echo[/name_u] Freyja.
[name_u]Echo[/name_u] Freyja sounds pretty adorable and a little edgy.
I think [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] would fit very well for siblings.
I don’t really care for [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f], it just seems unnecessarily complicated.
Other ideas for siblings:
[name_f]Juno[/name_f]
[name_f]Blossom[/name_f]
[name_f]Sonnet[/name_f]
[name_u]Fable[/name_u]
[name_f]Saga[/name_f]
[name_f]Vita[/name_f] / [name_u]Vida[/name_u]
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
[name_m]Thor[/name_m]
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
Thank you for the responses.
maimouse – I adore [name_u]Fable[/name_u], though I think I would prefer it as a middle. I’ve found myself often coming back to [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] [name_u]Fable[/name_u], but something doesn’t feel quite right about it… Also, while I love [name_f]Juno[/name_f], [name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_u]Echo[/name_u] I think are far too similar to work for sisters. [name_f]Saga[/name_f]'s a great idea too - I like it a lot.
opheliaflora – I understand your reservations as to ‘word’ names, and honestly I still have my own about them, however, the hesitation is slowly fading, particularly when it comes to word names that have historical use as names (in mythology and such).
