It’s a surname so it’s unisex but still masculine
[name]Sloan[/name] is more masculine, [name]Sloane[/name] is the more feminine spelling

In general, I would say it’s more masculine, BUT there’s always [name]Sloan/name in [name]Ferris[/name] [name]Bueller[/name] to think about.

I prefer it on a girl, that said I would say [name]Sloan[/name] was a boy’s name and [name]Sloane[/name] (with an e) was a girl’s name.

I think most people think of it more as a girls’ name. I have mostly heard people (lately) thinking of using it for a girl.

However, it sounds masculine to me and it is also used for boys. So I picked unisex. I don’t like it for a boy or a girl, but I’d rather see it on a boy.

I agree. I think [name]Sloan[/name] is unisex, and [name]Sloane[/name] is the feminine variant.

I’m not a fan of [name_u]Sloan[/name_u]/[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] but I would rather see it on a boy.

I would say that, as it’s origin is as a surname, it is a fully unisex name. I would use the [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] spelling for both genders…!
