Solace

Opinions on [name_u]Solace[/name_u]? I had it suggested to me a few days ago and I can’t get it out of my head! [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it’s not feminine enough? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it’s too frilly with nickname [name_f]Lacey[/name_f]? Does it go well with my son’s name (O.slo [name_u]Francis[/name_u], nn [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m])? TIA

I don’t think it’s not feminine enough, nor that it’s too frilly with nickname [name_f]Lacey[/name_f]. But I don’t think it goes very well with your son’s name because the shared S, O and L.

I don’t find it frilly, at all. I don’t know why but kind of feels like something is missing? It could grow on me though.

It might be too close to O.slo.

I think [name_u]Solace[/name_u] is lovely! Maybe I’m biased though because I have Solitude on my own list.

It sounds too sad for me and maybe a bit too heavy for a persons name

I agree with others who think [name_u]Solace[/name_u] is a little too close to your son’s name.

It is a little melancholy feeling for me, but not bad. However I do agree with others it might be too close to your sons name, trying to say them together would be a bit of a tongue twister

I like it in the middle name spot only. I think it does create too much of a melancholy feel as a first. For you, there are too many similar sounds to go with your son’s first name. However, it would make a lovely middle name!

I like [name_u]Solace[/name_u] equally for a boy or a girl but I don’t think it goes well with your sons name. It’s too much of the same sounds for me.

I was just thinking about the possibility of [name_u]Solace[/name_u] as a middle name yesterday! I think it’s so pretty, but I do have to agree, I think it’s too close to O.slo in sound to use for a first name. Possibly as a middle name, though?

I think [name_u]Solace[/name_u] is lovely. A modern alternative to [name_f]Alice[/name_f] perhaps. However, I agree with other berries that it’s quite similar to your son’s name, although a completely personal choice whether it bothers you. I’m not a fan of the nickname [name_f]Lacey[/name_f], so I think I would go for the nickname [name_f]Lissie[/name_f] instead. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
