[name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] is predominantly masculine for me, I just can’t picture it on a girl for some reason. I much prefer it on a little boy honestly, love the nn “[name_f]Perrie[/name_f]”!
[name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] is predominantly masculine for me, I just can’t picture it on a girl for some reason. I much prefer it on a little boy honestly, love the nn “[name_f]Perrie[/name_f]”! Plus I think its much more common on boys as far as I know.
It is masculine for me, but that may just be because the only reference point I have for the name is [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] Took from [name_m]Lord[/name_m] of the Rings. I think it could work for either though as most nature names.
Masculine, i think because i saw it used first on a male book character. I can imagine it on a girl too though
I’ve never actually met or read about one, but it strikes me as more masculine. I agree with above posters, “[name_u]Perry[/name_u]”/"[name_u]Peri[/name_u]" are really cute on a girl too though.
However, those nicknames could also be for: [name_f]Persephone[/name_f], [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] or Periwinkle.
It feels unisex to me, but that may be because I’m both a fan of [name_m]Lord[/name_m] of the Rings and Miss [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m]. I’ve never met a real life person named [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m], so those are my only points of reference.
I do feel it leans more heavily male though. I can definitely see it on a girl, but if I were to use it myself, I’d give it to a son over a daughter.
My first association to the name is Miss [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] too. But in this case it’s a surname, the full character name is Miss [name_f]Alma[/name_f] [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m].
I’ve only heard the name used on males. Although there’s enough softness there that it could pass as female. It’s rather similar to names like [name_f]Perrine[/name_f] and [name_f]Georgine[/name_f].
It’s completely masculine to me; I can’t really picture it on a girl.
Masculine, but there was a birth announcement on here not long ago with a baby girl [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m]
