Some New Combinations: Opinions Please!

Hello Berries,

I’ve been playing around with combinations and would love to have your opinions on them. They are a mix of family names and my favorites.

Alice Hermione
Lilith Katarina
Lilith Seraphine - Not new, but as much as I love it I’m still a bit hesitant to commit to it.
Alice Jordana
Isabel Mariana

  • [name_f]Danielle[/name_f]

I’m open to suggestions and switching the names around.

These are all so lovely! It’ll be a bit difficult for me to be picky but I’ll give it a go

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] - love this, [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]'s a GP of mine

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Sidonie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] - not that big of a fan of [name_f]Sidonie[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]?

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] - love this, [name_f]Flora[/name_f] & [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] are so sweet together!

[name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] to be honest

[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Eirian[/name_f] - [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f], but I’m not that big of a fan of [name_f]Margot[/name_f], and [name_f]Eirian[/name_f] looks pretty, but I haven’t got a single clue as to how to say it, three names that are unusual and that usually cause pronunciation problems could be an issue.

[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Beata[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f] - I prefer just [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f]/[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] or [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f].

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] - love this!

[name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] - I don’t mind this, but I’m not a fan of [name_f]Lilith[/name_f], due to the whole demon on Supernatural thing that my younger sister has drilled into my head.

[name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] I like this a lot, surprisingly!

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f] - one of my favourites!

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Temperance[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] - another favourite

[name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]/[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] - I don’t like the flow of these, how about [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]?

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] - [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] sound too smooshed together for my liking, but [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is cute.

[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]/[name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f].

[name_f]Katarina[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] - I like this, but I think [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] sounds a bit nicer.

[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] - yet another favourite! :stuck_out_tongue:

[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f] - I’m not a fan of the pronunciation of [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f], but, [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]/[name_u]June[/name_u] would be lovely

So, my favourites:

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Temperance[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]

My suggestions:

[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]/[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Katarina[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f]/[name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]/[name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]

Hopefully I wasn’t too harsh

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] – This is really pretty. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is classic and sweet and [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] is mythological and the name of a spunky girl in HP so it spices up the combo. Why doesn’t this one have 2 middles? [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f]? That’s gorgeous.

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Sidonie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] – I love [name_f]Flora[/name_f] and [name_u]June[/name_u] is sweet here, but I don’t like [name_f]Sidonie[/name_f] too much. I like the literature connection but I think a lot of people will think 'misspelled [name_u]Sidney[/name_u]/[name_u]Sydney[/name_u]" but since it’s a middle, it doesn’t matter because it’s just for you. I like the [name_f]Sidony[/name_f] spelling a little better. All together, the combo has great flow, it’s just not my favorite.

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] – I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] but I don’t like [name_u]June[/name_u] with it. Doesn’t sound right to me. [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is darling and really pretty, though.

[name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] – [name_f]Do[/name_f] you say rose-a-lyn or roz-a-lyn? That makes a difference in how I like it. With the [name_f]ROSE[/name_f] pronunciation, this combo is really nice. With [name_f]ROZ[/name_f], I don’t like it.

[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Eirian[/name_f] – [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is really great. I love it and might have to steal it  My problem is with [name_f]Eirian[/name_f]. Since it’s Welsh, I assume it’s AY-ree-an or something? I don’t like that I don’t know how to say it but it looks really nice. I would like [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] Eirwen (ayr-wen).

[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Beata[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f] – This combo’s flow is so-so. [name_f]Beata[/name_f] is lovely (though I think most people will mispronounce it but again, it’s a middle so it doesn’t matter). I think I would like it better as [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f] [name_f]Beata[/name_f] but I’m not sure. There’s just something off. [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]? Maybe put [name_f]Beata[/name_f] elsewhere?

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] – Like here, maybe. [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Beata[/name_f]? [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] is very sweet. It’s like the [name_f]Alice[/name_f] combo. [name_f]Flora[/name_f] is older and sweet and very lovely and [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] is spunky and it makes [name_f]Flora[/name_f] pop.

[name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] – [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_f]Lilith[/name_f]!! [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Beata[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]? I don’t like [name_u]June[/name_u] with [name_f]Lilith[/name_f]. [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]? OH I got it! [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. [name_f]Love[/name_f] that!

[name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] – Oh I like this a lot better than the last (unless it’s [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] :stuck_out_tongue: ) [name_f]Katarine[/name_f] spices this one up and [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] is very fierce.

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f] – [name_f]Lovely[/name_f]. [name_f]Jordana[/name_f] isn’t my style, but the combo is nice. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] would be nice.

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Temperance[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] – I don’t like [name_u]June[/name_u] here either. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Temperance[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f]? I just don’t like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] in general. It’s so boring and overdone, to me, and you have much better first. Heck, [name_f]Temperance[/name_f] in the front would be very cool.

[name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]/[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] – eh-len-a? eh-[name_m]LAY[/name_m]-nah? eh-lee-nah? I don’t like this name much, sorry. [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is nice if it’seh-len-ah

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] – I don’t like the flow or any of these names together. Your other [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] combo is much better, to me. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] maybe?

[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] – I don’t like [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] or [name_f]Jordana[/name_f], but the combo is really nice and sweet.

[name_f]Katarina[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] – I would like it better with [name_u]June[/name_u] in the middle. I would like the flow better. The combo is nice and [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] spices it

[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] – I like [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] with a C better, but the combo is nice. Sort of boring I guess.

[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f] – I don’t think [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is an issue because not everyone will know the middle and it’s not pronounce the same. I also would never have thought [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f] was pronounced the way it is. I think the flow would be way better as [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. It’s sweet.

[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] are wonderful together - that gets my vote. I do think [name_u]June[/name_u] sounds a little incongruously farmy at the end of such a grand name. I’d go with
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f].
Actually, [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] is so beautiful I might put her at the beginning.

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] is fun and unexpected. Feels very Southern to me.

[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] are lovely together. [name_f]Eirian[/name_f] makes me think of white supremacy… sorry! [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] on the end there?
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Lilith[/name_f].

I underlined my favorites.

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] - This is sweet and classic. I like.
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Sidonie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] - I don’t really get [name_f]Sidonie[/name_f].
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] - Beautiful.
[name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] - this combo is redundant. [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is a variant of [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] which means [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. So the meaning would be tender horse, pearl, pearl.
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Eirian[/name_f] - I like this combo. It’s interesting and a bit unexpected. Nice.
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Beata[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f] - I don’t like [name_f]Beata[/name_f] - it has always struck me as old (in a bad way) and dumpy. Combining it with [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f] somehow amplifies that. Sorry.
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] - This feels very [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] to me. I keep thinking it says [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]. Nothing wrong with that just, you know, an observation.
[name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] -
[name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] - I think this might be my favorite. It’s a great combo of mysterious, spunky and classic.
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f] - I think I’d prefer [name_f]Elise[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f] over [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f]. Something about how it sounds/flows.
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Temperance[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] - Theoretically awesome but some how [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Temperance[/name_f] together bugs me. I think it’s because [name_u]June[/name_u] is really short and they are both long and weighty names. Sorry I have no good idea who to fix it without making [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] shorter.
[name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]/[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] - [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is nice.
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] - nice.
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] - [name_f]Margot[/name_f] doesn’t really work for me here. [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] works better for me. Otherwise I like this combo.
[name_f]Katarina[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] - [name_u]June[/name_u] feels a bit mismatched with the other two old beauts. Maybe [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f].
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] - I think this is heading down the right direction, but could use some work. Something about [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] striking me as more easter european and [name_u]June[/name_u] being very english - feels a bit mismatched. Maybe something as easy as [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] would do the trick.
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f] - [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f]?

@lawsonhaley

I chose [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f] because I don’t like when the d and [name_f]ROZ[/name_f] is pronounced with [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]. I don’t love how the -lyn ending looks with [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f] though. :frowning:

[name_f]Eirian[/name_f] is IE -ri - ahn. I figured there will be some pronunciation issues. I’m not sure what to pair it with. I do love the name, but it might have to stay on my guilty pleasures because of the issues with pronunciation.

I love [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f], but I thought it might be too long and frilly.

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] doesn’t flow very well. It’s actually an combo I made up for a old CAF game. I like the way it looks, but not how it sounds.

I forgot to swap out [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]! It’s suppose to be [name_f]Katarina[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u].

Not harsh at all. Thank you for the suggestions!

@dantea
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] is definitely a favorite of mine. It doesn’t have two middles because I wasn’t sure what to pair it with. I really like [name_f]Margot[/name_f] with it.

I much prefer [name_u]Sydney[/name_u] sound wise, but I’m not fond of the y right in the middle. I don’t love [name_f]Sidonie[/name_f], but [name_u]Sidney[/name_u] is the masculine spelling so I’m hesitant to use it instead.

I’ve been thinking of dropping [name_u]June[/name_u] recently. The appeal I used to have for it just isn’t there anymore. I agree that [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is much better.

I alway use the [name_f]Rose[/name_f] pronunciation with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] names. [name_f]Roz[/name_f] sounds harsh to me and not very attractive.

Steal away! I would love to see sisters named [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] and [name_f]Persephone[/name_f]. [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] are both new name crushes of mine. I loved [name_f]Gwen[/name_f], but didn’t like ant of the [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] names then I stumbled across [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] in another thread. I warmed up to [name_f]Margot[/name_f] after someone online used the name.

[name_f]Eirian[/name_f] is IE -ri - ahn. I’m going to keep it on my guilty pleasure list because of possible pronunciation list.

I still love [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] so every combination I come across doesn’t feel right compared to it. I’m not sure if it should have a second middle because it feels so complete already.

I pronounce [name_f]Elena[/name_f] e-[name_m]LAY[/name_m]-nah. I probably will take it off my list because my cousin is [name_f]Ilana[/name_f].

It does flow better when you reverse [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f].

Thank you!

[name_f]Lilith[/name_f] Serephine is pretty awesome :stuck_out_tongue:

If you want a second middle with it, [name_f]Margot[/name_f] goes nicely there because [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] has a lot of quick and hard sounds (the Ls and the TH) [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] is hissy and drawn out, but [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is soft with no hard sounds so it’s a good compliment to them both. [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] Serephine [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] does the same thing. [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] Serephine [name_f]Pearl[/name_f].

And I don’t like [name_u]June[/name_u] much but I like [name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_f]Junia[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like either of those?

@emmabobemma
I originally had [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] as a first name with the nickname [name_f]Nina[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Nina[/name_f], but didn’t like how short it was so I thought it needed a longer name. I go back and forth with [name_f]Antonia[/name_f]. I love the nicknames and the name in it’s full form, but something keeps me from liking it as a first name.

@lexiem
I don’t care much about meanings. With most names that can be spelled with C or K I lean more towards the K spelling.

I do like [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f]. For me [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] is more likely to be used as first name than [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]. I didn’t even think about reversing it before.

@dantea
Oh, I like both of those. I keep going back to [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f]. I absolutely love it. I think I’ll go with [name_f]Margot[/name_f] with it because I want to save [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] for [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f].

I do like think [name_f]Junia[/name_f] is pretty, but not for me.

Thank you everyone!

I honestly pronounce [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] as [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f], but I think that’s how my accent works, haha.

I did too, but everywhere I looked online most people said it like [name_f]ROZ[/name_f]-ah-lind. It’s one of the main reasons I’ve stuck with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] as my number one [name_f]Rose[/name_f]- name.

The stand-out for me was [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f], although I remember [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Mariana[/name_f] from when you first joined, and I miss it! [name_m]How[/name_m] I loved that combo. I think [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Mariana[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] or [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Mariana[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] would be lovely. [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Sidonie[/name_f] are lovely, as well.

I pronounce [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] as rosa-lind. As it looks, in other words. My favorite [name_f]Rose[/name_f]- name is [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f].

Oh, I still love [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Mariana[/name_f]. I’ve been thinking of [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] lately, but I wasn’t sure about having another [name_f]Mar[/name_f]- name. It seems that I"m attracted to a lot of those. [name_m]Marcellus[/name_m], [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f], [name_f]Mariana[/name_f]… I’m not sure about how usable it’d be in one family to have so many similar sounding names.

I don’t see myself having children for a couple years though so I think it’d be safe to add it back in my signature. I’m kind of falling off the double middles for girls so it’s be just [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Mariana[/name_f].

I narrowed down the list and dropped the second middles. They just weren’t working for me with these combinations. It’s so much easier for me to figure out two middles for a boy than it is for a girl. I’m super excited about these new combinations because I’m so picky with names. It hard for me to find ones that I could see myself actually using.

[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]- love it
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]- love it
[name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f]- not my fave. I prefer [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] to [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f], but that’s just me.
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f]- never been a huge fan of [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] (which makes me like the only girl ever)
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]- prefer [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Katarina[/name_f]- kind of dig it
[name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] - flows beautifully
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f]- prefer [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Mariana[/name_f]- meh. you have so many other gorgeous options that it seems almost wrong to go with a name as popular as [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] are definitely my favorites:)

Hmmm, I think I’m going to drop [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f]. As much as I love the pronunciation [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]-lyn, the pronunciation isn’t correct with [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]. I don’t want to have to deal with ‘[name_f]Roz[/name_f]’. I wouldn’t have been able to use it anyway because I love [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Flora[/name_f], but not as much as my favorites. I also want to avoid other flower and nature names. I seem to be attracted to a lot them. I like [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] in theory, it looks great and has a great nickname, but I don’t love it enough. I also really like [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and wouldn’t use them together. It’s [name_m]Arthur[/name_m]>[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] for me.

I’m glad to see that others like [name_f]Lilith[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f]. I’ve adored that combination since it was suggested in a previous thread of mine. I am now starting to lean more towards [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] than [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Jordana[/name_f]. I do like the name [name_f]Jordana[/name_f], but I love [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] paired with [name_f]Alice[/name_f].

I don’t mind popular names. The majority of my list are popular names or have been popular at a time. [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] is also not as popular as people think. It has actually been declining in SSA ranks since 2008. [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] is much more popular at #3. [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] is at #134. I have a feeling it will drop more this year.

I can’t wait to see the new name rankings for 2013.
