Which do you prefer and why?
definitely sophie! there’s something very sweet and chic about it, and it’s less common than sophia, which i find a little overdone personally
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f]! -ie names feel more like a nickname.
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f].
It feels more classic and less [name_m]Uber[/name_m] popular to me. I feel like for me anyways, [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] has run it’s course and it’s not quite my style.
I prefer [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]. It’s the original form and I love the meaning and spiritual significance of Hagia [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] and the concept of [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] in Gnosticism. I also really like the [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Loren[/name_u] association! Shame about the popularity though.
I prefer Sophie!! Elegant and pretty
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] but spelled like [name_f]Sofie[/name_f]
i love both. personally, i would use sophia as i love the idea of nicknames and sophie just naturally comes as a nn with sophia.
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]! [name_m]Just[/name_m] because of Howl’s Moving Castle
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]! It just appeals to me a little more personally, and for [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] I prefer the spelling [name_f]Sofia[/name_f].
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f]. It looks complete and sounds better. Plus [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is a super common NN and regular name.
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]! It’s on our list if bub is a girl It just feels a bit fresher than [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] (which is also lovely).
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]! [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] feels a little overused to me and I don’t really like it for other reasons I can’t quite put my finger on
While I actually know many of both, [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] still retains a delightful sort of spunk and energy that I don’t get with [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] anymore. I also love the general trend of nicknames as full names, which I think helps Sophie’s case for me!
I prefer [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]. [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] feels overly fussy to me.
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]- all the Sophies ive met have been much nicer than the Sophias, I also just think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is prettier
Strongly prefer [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]! Not sure why, but while I like [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], I’m really not a fan of [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]! It’s sweeter and less common!
I think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is so much prettier. It’s unfortunate how overly popular [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] have become, because they are both such pretty names, but I think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is much nicer. Something about “Sophia” sounds a bit stuck up, while “Sophie” sounds soft and intelligent, and is slightly less common.
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] such a sweet and pretty name and it sounds fresher! [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] sounds very 2010s to me! I do prefer the spelling [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] though!
