funny this exact combo was on my list…and luckily i asked nameberry forum which brought this unfortunate name blend up. bummer. We were loving the name Alder too, so we came up with a solution
[name]Soren[/name] Alder [name]Gray[/name] (two middle names!)
It sounds good but I like [name]Seren[/name] for a girl so I probably would not use [name]Soren[/name].

And I still love it–I still don’t really see the “sore and gray”, thing–besides, I don’t know any old people who say “I’m sore and gray!” lol. It seems like an odd combination to me. “Achy, breaky bones”, maybe, or “old and gray”, but not “sore and gray”… I think you’re fine. [name]Soren[/name] [name]Grey[/name] is lovely.
