Sorrel and Vincent

Wdyt of [name]Sorrel[/name] and [name]Vincent[/name] as brothers? Any other V names that’d work for a brother of [name]Sorrel[/name]?
Mn ideas?

I love [name]Vincent[/name], not so crazy about [name]Sorrel[/name]. It reminds me of the word sorrow or sorry. [name]Vincent[/name] on the other hand is a beautiful name and will serve him well into adulthood. [name]Love[/name] the nickname [name]Vince[/name] as well. [name]Just[/name] being honest!

[name]Sorrel[/name]'s on my girl list but I guess it could work on a boy as it’s a plant name.

Other V names…

[name]Vasiliy[/name]
[name]Vito[/name]
[name]Vitaly[/name]
[name]Vincenzo[/name]
[name]Victor[/name]

[name]Sorrel[/name] and…

Virgo
[name]Virgil[/name]

I also love [name]Vito[/name] and [name]Victor[/name] from the poster above.

Virgo is a good one! I’ve got a girlfriend named [name]Sorrel[/name], so I never really thought of it as a boy name but it’s nice!

I always thought of sorrel as a girl’s name. For a boy, [name]Soren[/name]?

Thank you!
And of course honesty is what I seek for, so please be honest away! Lol
I have always thought of [name]Sorrel[/name] as a boys name, never met a girl named it. So I’m surprised to see so many of you think it’s more of a girls name… But I don’t mind if it’s unisex, I think it’s uncommon enough for it not to matter that it might be used for girls more often than boys. And most importantly I love it for a boy.
I do like [name]Soren[/name] too, but don’t love it.
And I love [name]Viridian[/name]! And Virgo! And I guess, I like [name]Virgil[/name] too in a way.

I love [name]Vincent[/name]. I quite like [name]Sorrel[/name] but it would be a bolder choice. I know brothers named [name]Vincent[/name] and [name]Samuel[/name] which I think are better matched.

What about [name]Viggo[/name]? [name]Viggo[/name] and [name]Soren[/name] would make a handsome pair.

Thanks!
I definitely see your point missv, [name]Vincent[/name] and [name]Sorrel[/name] aren’t the best match. I love both, but I love [name]Sorrel[/name] more and I am open to all suggestions of names that’d sound good with it in a sibset. The letter V has a significance for me and that’s why I’m hoping to find a V name for possible brother of [name]Sorrel[/name]. [name]Viggo[/name] is quite nice, though I prefer the Virgo suggestion.

I do not like [name]Vincent[/name]. I never have. My grandpa was named that so, I never named a child after him. I just never ever liked the name. Maybe it is just NMS. It seems too mafia-ish.

Thanks for your input!

I think I’ve totally fallen for [name]Viridian[/name] now!

Not a fan of [name]Sorrel[/name], but love [name]Vincent[/name]! The only time I’ve heard of [name]Sorrel[/name] is [name]Sorrell[/name] Booke, the guy who played [name]Boss[/name] Hogg in Dukes of [name]Hazard[/name]! So, that’s they association I have with it. LOL But, maybe that’s just me. Not fond of the sound of the name either…

I think [name]Vincent[/name] is really great, because it has many different versions that I love. I think the nn [name]Vinnie[/name] is adorable for a little boy, and [name]Vince[/name] is a great nn for an adult! Some others I like are [name]Vaughn[/name], [name]Vann[/name], [name]Vance[/name], [name]Viggo[/name] and [name]Victor[/name].

Thanks for suggesting it!
I’m now thinking of middlenames to go with it, I kind of like [name]Viridian[/name] [name]Jude[/name], [name]Viridian[/name] [name]James[/name] and [name]Viridian[/name] [name]Charles[/name]…

Thanks! There are many good ones!

Sorry, but I feel like I have to point out that Virgo strikes me as a really bizarre and potentially inappropriate name, especially for a boy. You do realize that in Latin the word virgo means “young woman” or “maiden,” right? It’s the root of the word virgin.

Thanks for pointng that out! It did not cross my mind at the time! I did actually sort of drop Virgo because of the virgin meaning already. But that is a good point, thanks for reminding me.
