Well, it is crunch time and I never thought I’d find myself in this position. Our baby is due on Thursday and my husband and I haven’t found any boy names we truly love. Well, almost none…early on in my pregnanvy my husband, friends and I began to call our baby [name_m]Rod[/name_m] as a bit of a joke (we pictured a 1950’s greaser type). However, the name has stuck and I refer to and really think of this baby as a “[name_m]Rod[/name_m]” now. My husband is trying desperately to convince me that [name_m]Roderick[/name_m] is a solid, upstanding name aand that [name_m]Rod[/name_m] is quite a fine and underused nickname. I am really starting to agree but I am not sure if I’d lost my due north on this…
What do you think about the name [name_m]Roderick[/name_m]? Would calling our son [name_m]Rod[/name_m] be a terrible idea?
We could use [name_m]Rod[/name_m] as a middle name with a very classic name like [name_m]William[/name_m] or [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], giving ourselves and our son options, but I am quite sure that we might default to [name_m]Rod[/name_m].
Have I totally succumbed to hormones? Your advise and honest opinions desperate needed!
