Sounds you like and dislike

What sounds do you like and dislike in names? Be specific(soft or hard G, etc) or give an example.

I like:
N
L
non-final R
initial BR
medial ND
short E
long A
long I
medial V

I dislike:
Hard G(as in go)
OI as in point
non-initial K
Many hard consonants (called plosives or stops). This includes B, D, P, G, K, and T. [name]Patrick[/name] is an example of a name with too many in my opinion.
A final hard consonant other than T.
OW, like in sound
The “CH” sound found in [name]German[/name].
B without an R

Hmmm, I am not a huge fan of Sh sounds like [name]Sharon[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Sherry[/name]. I don’t like many names that end with ie or ey, for example [name]Stephenie[/name], [name]Tiffanie[/name], [name]Ashley[/name], [name]Mackenzie[/name]. I don’t like boys names that with an L like [name]Michael[/name], [name]Daniel[/name], [name]Lowell[/name], [name]Carl[/name], [name]Lionel[/name]. That is about it I think.

[name]One[/name] sound I really don’t like is the “eu” sound: [name]Eunice[/name], [name]Eugenie[/name], [name]Eugene[/name], [name]Beulah[/name]. They all sound really harsh to me, like, metallic in a way. Almost like you would imagine the encroachment of rust sounds like. I suppose it’s just the long “yu” sound, but the appearance of the “eu” together is also part of the image.

I love the sounds of names like [name]Hailey[/name] and [name]Claire[/name]; to me they sound clean, crisp, and fresh.
I love J/U and J/R sounds: [name]Jerusha[/name] (a perfect blend of sound to me: J/RU/SH); [name]Juliana[/name], [name]Julia[/name], [name]Judah[/name], [name]Jubal[/name], [name]Jorah[/name]. All of these names sound rich and full to me.
I love the sound of the name [name]Gabriel[/name], but I don’t like [name]Gabe[/name] or [name]Bri[/name]— anything very much, so it’s definitely the blend of sounds in this unique name.
I love the name Rukia as well, but you have to say it with a tapped “R” to pronounce it correctly.
