Your name is [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] Rossdale. You are a 20-year-old college student from [name]Maine[/name] and are a rising junior at Oberlin. Your parents announced earlier in the year that they were taking a month-long second honeymoon in [name]Hawaii[/name], giving you a perfect reason not to go home right away when school let out for the summer. Throughout the year, you had put whatever money you could aside so that you could do what you always wanted to do: visit your favorite aunt, [name]Deanna[/name] [name]Lynn[/name] [name]Campbell[/name], who is living in the American south.
Two days after school lets out, you grab your bags, head to the airport, and hop on a plane to [name]Little[/name] [name]Rock[/name]. She greets you at the airport and is very happy to see you. You plan on staying for a month and a half, with her in her two-bedroom condo. When you get there, you see there is a man sitting in the living room. Your aunt introduces him as [name]Henry[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Wright[/name], her live-in boyfriend. You’re surprised–your aunt never mentioned a boyfriend. She blushes and she says she wasn’t quite sure how to tell you and thought if your mom found out, she might not let you visit. You say its OK. They take you out to dinner that night and help you get settled in. [name]Henry[/name] turns out to be a really nice guy. He met her through their work and they’ve been dating for 7 months. He recently moved in with your aunt, per her request.
For the next couple of days, your aunt and her boyfriend take you sightseeing. When you’ve been in the city for 10 days when a visitor stops by your aunt’s condo. You open the door, expecting to see a friend that was suppose to stop by, but a boy you don’t know is there instead. You both stare at each other for several moments, before he asks for your aunt’s boyfriend by name. Your aunt comes over and introduces him. His name is [name]Dylan[/name] [name]Everett[/name] Michaels and he’s a 22-year-old college student. He is your aunt’s boyfriend’s godson. He spends the rest of the day with you, your aunt, and his godfather.
The next 11 weeks are the most fun you’ve ever had in a long time. You’ve gotten really close with [name]Dylan[/name] and are sad about leaving. The night before you are set to leave, your aunt, her boyfriend, and your new friends throw you a going-home party. The next day, [name]Deanna[/name], [name]Henry[/name], and [name]Dylan[/name], bring you to the airport. Before he leaves, the boy gently kisses you on the forehead.
Once you are back in college, your life falls back into your previous routine and you fall out of the contact with the boy you met in [name]LIttle[/name] [name]ROck[/name]. In the second semester of your senior year of college, you begin seriously dating a guy named [name]Joshua[/name] [name]Ethan[/name] [name]Dodge[/name], even moving in with him. On your first anniversary together, he proposes to you! You gladly say yes.
7 weeks after you are officially engaged, you receive even more exciting news: your aunt is getting married! She and [name]Henry[/name] are finally tying the knot and she wants you present as her maid of honor. Unfortunately, your fiancee has something business related and cannot attend the ceremony. You head to [name]Little[/name] [name]Rock[/name] with your parents and your younger brother to be with your aunt on her special day.
At the wedding, you are reunited with [name]Dylan[/name]. He is your new uncle’s best man. The wedding is a casual occasion in the local town hall, with twelve guests. You are arm and arm with him as you walk beside him in the procession. Your old crush comes back–tenfold. He appears to be returning your affections, but then he sees the ring on your finger and he avoids eye contact with you. He does this repeatedly throughout your stay. After the wedding, you return home to your fiancee. Only this time, you keep in touch with [name]Dylan[/name].
7 months after your aunt’s wedding, you come home to an empty apartment. Your fiancee has cleared out. You are worried, and you call almost all of his friends. Then, you call his sister, who reveals a terrible secret: [name]Josh[/name] admitted to her he had been cheating on you for the past few months. She tried to convince him to be straightforward with you, but apparently he chickened out. You are beyond upset; your wedding was in two weeks! When he finally comes home, he begs you to take him back. A small part of you wants to, but you ultimately decide to break off the engagement. All your friends and your family are upset. You can’t take the looks of pity and whispers anymore after a few weeks. You quit your job and move to [name]Little[/name] [name]Rock[/name], the one place in the world you were completely happy.
You have been living with your aunt, [name]Deanna[/name], and her new husband, [name]Henry[/name], in [name]Little[/name] [name]Rock[/name] for 10 months. You have gotten a job as a biologist, but have yet to find a place of your own. They have been generous and hospitable towards you, but now you feel as though you have overstayed your welcome. Then, your uncle’s godson, [name]Dylan[/name], calls you. A year ago, he bought a house and took in three roommates to help him pay the mortgage. [name]One[/name] of those roommates is moving out soon and he heard you were looking for a new place to live. What he wants to know is, would you like the vacant bedroom? The house is closer to your work and your half of the pay is reasonable. You say yes without any second thought.
You, [name]Dylan[/name], and two other roommates, [name]Emily[/name] and [name]Jack[/name] live together nicely for eighteen months. But when the new year rings in, things quickly begin to change. [name]Emily[/name] gets a job in a new city and has to move. Six months later, [name]Jack[/name] moves out to buy an apartment with his girlfriend. Now, it is just you and [name]Dylan[/name]. You pretend that there is nothing wrong, but it’s obvious there is simmering sexual tension between you. He puts in an ad in the local newspaper and you spread the word around to your friends and co-workers, but no one seems terribly interested. Eventually, it becomes less awkward for you and [name]Dylan[/name].
You come home one early evening to find your ex-fiancee, [name]Josh[/name], sitting on the porch. He literally gets down on both knees and begs you to take him back. By now, you have learned from your friends back in your home state that he has not changed his ways at all. He even cheated on the girl he used to cheat on you–twice. You tell him no flatly and order him to leave you alone and never come back. He is more humiliated than hurt. [name]Josh[/name] forces his way into the house and tries to kiss you. You scream. Out of nowhere, here comes [name]Dylan[/name]. He shoves your ex-fiancee off of you and roughs him up. He threatens your ex with unrepeatable violence should he ever come near you again. Your ex-fiancee then runs like a dog with its tail between its legs. Crying, you fall into [name]Dylan[/name]'s arms, relieved. 5 days later, you confess to him that the reason you didn’t take your ex back was because you are in love with him, your roommate. He smiles, says he loves you too, and kisses you.
You and [name]Dylan[/name] live together and date for a year and 3 months. Then, your boyfriend is offered a job as a paralegal in another southern city and he really wants you to go with him. You are uncertain if you want to move again, but certainly do not want to break off the relationship. After that, your boyfriend’s best friend lets it slip that he caught your boyfriend looking at rings. You are not sure of what that means or if you are ready to take another chance at getting your heart broken again. But he changes your mind–with a beautiful ring, a wonderful proposal, and a heartfelt promise to always love you.
After your two-week honeymoon to Greece, you and DH sell your house in [name]Little[/name] Rocck and move into a two-bedroom condo in New Orleans.
You and [name]Dylan[/name] have been married for two years and 7 months when you find out you are pregnant! This is your first child and you break the news to your husband in a creative way. Nine months later, you welcome your first child into your home! And when your baby is 9 months old, you and your husband buy a new house in the suburbs of New Orleans. It’s big and spacious, with plenty of room to fit all the kids you want to have!
